Beretta A400 Question

I'm about to graduate from LSU this December and decided I would buy myself a badass shotgun. Been working my nuts off since I started college and figured I'd reward myself.
Wanted to hear if anyone has anything negative to say about the A400? Everyone I've talked to has nothing but great things to say about it... I wondered if the OB had some helpful information from their previous experiences about this gun before I made the investment.
Thanks in advance

I think there have been a couple threads on this in the past couple weeks?

Just bought one and absolutely love it. The coating on it is the real deal, shoulders well, the kick off system is very nice, and cycles as fast as you would expect.
We'll see how much of a pain it is to clean and how the new kick off system holds up over time. If I get 8 years out of it it'll be worth it.
They ain't cheap though. My buddy got One and he likes his. Uncle just bought two for my cousins. I haven't heard any complaints yet.

I'm a Benelli man but that is a great gun. You will love it.

Awesome gun. You won't be disappointed. My friend had one and it broke at what I think is the kick off joint in the stock, but from what I understand they fixed that problem.
I shoot a SBE II just because I liked the feel of it better than the Beretta. You can't go wrong with that gun though.

Benelli person here as well. That being said, the A400 is an amazing shotgun. You won't be disappointed in the slightest.

Thanks guys, I've heard from serval people that any shotgun that starts with a B you can't go wrong with (Beretta, Benelli and Browning) it's all a feel thing really.

Two friends of mine had firing pin issues with them. It would give the shells a soft hit and not fire. They switched to the new A5s. Im sure those issues have been fixed by now since this was 2 years ago.
I shoot a SBE2 and it never quits on me.

Thanks Carson but I'm getting it brand new for almost wholesale price from a buddy. I did hear about the $250 credit though, that sounds like a great deal. If I didn't have this hookup I'd be there tomorrow. I could hangout in Bowies all day

Congrats great gun I am a SBEII guy but I really like that gun. I think you should buy a slightly used black synthetic franchi I12 that you could find on guns America tomorrow for about a 1/3 of what you will spend

Have a question for you. Are you supposed to be able to pick out the Beretta stuff you want? Had another place tell me I would get a gun case and a decoy bag, no options.
yeah. the guy at the other place probably told you that because other a400 purchasers that bought earlier cleaned out all of their merchandise

I own an A400 for nearly 3 years now.
Shoulder the gun and ensure that the out of the box setup fits you. Also, read the owner's manual before you shoot it. Some good stuff in there.
The gun spits shells out a long, long way. Whoever is to your right in the blind will feel the wrath!
The stock chokes are money. I go with the modified for duck hunting and it reaches out there with deadly force.
I use 1 3/8, 2 or bigger when duck hunting. I'll use 3.5 1 3/8 BB later in the season. It is almost as if the gun is designed for the 1 3/8.
The trigger action and recoil is what sold me - the older I got the more pounding my shoulder took. The gun is soooo smooth when shooting heavy loads - you will be beaded up on your second shot quicker than any other gun in the blind.
The shell ejection mod in the left side is sweet if a goose is headed your way and you want to get a more capable shell in the chamber.
