Are the re any brands I should look at besides whatever they have at Gander, Tractor Supply, or a Carhartt setup?

I need insulated overalls and a hoodless jacket. I'd be up for skimping on the bib a bit since I hope like hell I use it a hand full of times this winter.

Working on the shoreline on the MD/VA border...

I doubt I'll look that durable/pricey. This is to wear around welders and pipefitters while I do pressure vessel inspections outside on a launch stand. There are tons of snag points and I doubt the project lasts long enough for me to need a $600 setup. I may look on Sierra Trading Post to see what they have.

Carhartt double front bib with long Johns or insulated work well. There jackets are also durable

Haven't ever tried that Duluth trading stuff, but it seems legit

This 5.11 jacket looks cool.

Probably be able to layer up. Jacket has some cool features like full molle loops and hidden pockets.

Walls seems to be a bib manufacturer.

this is what I would buy...it may be overkill for the short duration of the project that he is on, but to be cold for that long would be just terrible...

I've worked rigs, platforms, pipelines, construction and cattle. Carhartt and be done with it.

Wrangler makes some pretty good stuff and so does bulwark, but carhartt is king

Berne jackets are as good as carhartt for half the price. We're allotted one a year through my company and they are every bit as warm as carhartt. Same material.
