1. Call State Police to enforce
2. Call Attorney.
3. Call surveyor to get proper plot.
4. If #1, #2, and #3 doesn't work burn blind to the freaking ground.
5. After #4 is complete. Go to landing, or where ever they park their cars and burn their cars.
6. Nobody would mess with me and all the hard work I have done on my land. I know what its like to try and get the judges and the local sheriff in a particular North LA parish to get to work with ya! BURN THAT shite TO THE GROUND!
7. If 1-6 does not work. Call in the local chapter of Hells Angels!

Because that doesn't actually enforce any law. I would generate evidence first before having my lawyer blindly fire off letters to people. Seems like he doesn't have any proof at this point in time.

Your lawyer wouldn't blindly fire off anything without some type of factual backing.

If he does, you need a new lawyer.

Put up game camera and get proof of them on your property.
Give info to LEO with boat registration numbers.
Put an air cannon next to their blind until they are prosecuted.

I would dump 200lbs of corn in that pond and then call the game wardens.

I would do this. 2 weeks after, I would hunt the hell out of it.

I am looking into te expropriation possibility and some other things on the legal side. Thanks for your help.

What a shame that something as pure and good as hunting is becoming as messed up as everything else.
What a shame that the hard work, time, effort, and resources of a few are destroyed by the lazy, the irreverent, and the apathetic.
Everyone wants a hand-out.

Be advised, this is what the world is coming to.

Was there a way to get to where these guys hunt, by boat, before the lock and dam project?

If the blind is on this guys property he has every right to burn it down. If the blinders on public property he's shite out of luck. If the blind is on an adjoining piece of property not owned by him he needs to mind his own business.

It honestly sounds like he doesn't know what is going on out there. Who calls the sheriffs department about property they don't know if they own or not?

Just read this whole thread, and never saw if the OP says what parish the land is in.

Sounds kinda close to a place I used to hunt. Is the oxbow around Dixie, La, north of Shreveport?

You might be able to transplant a giant fire ant nest during a cold spell, during the split, into the blind. I'd start with shovels and some type of air tight Rubbermaid bins to load them up into. Never researched it, but I bet you could bring enough of them in there to colonize a blind. You would be able to hear them screaming and hollering from a mile away. In the dark, they'd be fully covered before the first one bit. It would be glorious. I'd be behind some type of shotgun-proof barrier in close proximity to video the antics.

What's the story? Does your family own the property where they are hunting/the blind is sitting or not?

It seems like you don't and you were just nitpicking over the trespass issued because it's eating you up that they're hunting there. I've been where you're at, trust me man it's a dark place and you don't want to go back. You're sitting in your blind steaming mad every time they volley until it reaches a fevered anger. You consider putting the barrel of your shotgun in your mouth and pulling the trigger...

When actually you should be enjoying your private blind that you know for a fact they are not allowed to hunt. Take pride in feeding the birds and creating a habitat conducive to bettering the experience for all hunters of Louisiana.

I'll close with this. As soon as you run them out of there you will begin cussing all the birds that light in that hole with no one there to keep them stirred up.
