Why have you narrowed it down to those two? I haven't heard much good about the Galaxy S5. Most people here will tell you it's trash, but not whether that sentiment is based on experience or on what other people have told them, or based on nothing. But as I said, I've heard mostly negative.

Note 4 is more aptly comparable to the Nexus 6. The question is whether you want a phablet (Nexus 6, Note 4, iPhone 6+) or something smaller (plenty of options besides the Galaxy S5).

I've had the note 4 for a week now. Just upgraded from the note 3. The 4 gets better signal (Verizon), faster processor, and a few tweaks that I've really enjoyed so far.

If your wanting a larger phone, you can't go wrong with the note 4.

If it has to be 1 of those 2. Having played with both I would get the Note 4.

Out of those two definitely the Note 4.

Hhhmmm, so note 4 seems to be the preferences of the two, but almost all of you seem to think something else is better.

Looking for a larger screen, multi-tasking phone. Have iPhone 5 and looking elsewhere.

The galaxy S line in my experience always gets bogged down by Touchwiz after a few months of use. The Note line usually can handle Touchwiz better. The LG G3 can have two apps on the screen for multi tasking and it's UI doesn't bog down the phone like Touchwiz does. It's limited to only a few apps but if you're rooted then you can use any app.

I have had the Note 4 for about three weeks now and it is fantastic. Fast, responsive, and it takes some really good pictures. If you want a big phone the Note 4 is where it's at.
