Right now. First year with the playoffs and utter pandemonium.

This year doesn't seem to be too controversial.

It looks like 3 are locks: Bama, FSU, Oregon and while the 4th is up in the air, I don't think there's going to be any universal outrage no matter who gets picked/left out.

People are going to be less prone to split hairs about #4, as opposed to #2 in the old system.

JMHO, though, so I may be proved wrong tomorrow.

Why? Free meals and accommodations "deliberating" a decision that will likely be make in minutes despite some back and forth to bide the time.

Me neither. All hell is going to rain down on them no matter who they put in the final four.

To be fair its not the committee fault. Every poll in the nation wanted a 8 team play off with 5 conference champions by a wide margin.

The people who run college football are like 20 years behind what the fans want.

Somebody would still be left out.

Archie Manning is a genius for getting out.

But no conference champs would. And very likely no co-champs.

That is doubling down on stupid. Going to 8 will make it worse.

They screwed up last week by really laying the best team mantra moving TCU up to 3.. They are still better than fla st after watching the games. Ohio st has also shown To be better than FSU and possibly TCU.. If they stick to their precedent then FSu should be out.

I said it in another thread, but everyone is assuming FSU is automatic. They should be, but last week they moved TCU ahead of FSU, which obviously means they think that TCU is a better team than FSU. I do not believe that FSU did enough to say that they are better than TCU, so what makes people assume that all of a sudden now they are going to drop TCU 2 spots, below a team that just last week they were ranked ahead of?

ETA: Based on the game FSU just had where they won by 2 points, and their current ranking of 4, they should be the first team out, not TCU considering TCU just last week was thought of as a better team that FSU, and nothing FSU did tonight would move them ahead of TCU. When did it become common practice that the last team in is the 3 ranked team out of 4 instead of last team in actually being the lowest ranked of them all.

Serves them right for stupidly putting TCU at number three. Should've had them at number four.

Going to 8 has teams like Miss St, AU and Ole Miss asking what about us? We do 64 teams in basketball and spend 6 hours after the selection show debating who got left out. I fail to see how going to 8 makes it better.
