Sure they are undefeated.
They've got the returning Heisman winner.
They win by the skin of their teeth week in and week out.

That said, looking at Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, TCU, Baylor...is Florida State a top 4 team?

No. Struggling week in and week out against inferior talent.

I think there are probably 6-8 teams that would beat FSU 7/10 times.

Florida state has talented players but they have a tendency to play undisciplined football, and outside of their Dline I don't think they're very physical.

It's irrelevant, they are in for sure.

Care to direct me to a thread specifically discussing this topic?

You can't leave an undefeated FSU who played Florida, okie state, and ND in non conference out.

It shouldn't be if they playoff committee wants to get "the best" 4 teams in. No?

Sure. Why not?

And even if they weren't, they've done enough to earn a playoff spot. There's no huge injustice being perpetrated if the "real" number 4 team gets bumped for FSU.

The best four teams in the opinion of the committee will be chosen. It may not be the same as your opinion

Nc State, BC, Clemson, Florida, G Tech, ND, Louisville & Miami all had FSU beat. Look I think undefeated defending champs deserve a chance to defend their title but they aren't a top 4 team IMO. I mean they were close to not even being bowl eligible. Put it like this, what would the point spread be bama vs FSU and bama vs tOSU??? I think OSU would be a much closer game. Committee will save face by keeping 2 small school big12 teams out though. Would be way different if it was Texas & Oklahoma sharing the big12 title though.

The committee has out thrmeeves into a corner.. Fla st isn't a top 4 IMO and was barely holding on according to the committee as of last week.. They again struggled and got out by the skin of their arse albeit against a quality opponent .. I can't wait to see Long weasel his way around the questions tomorrow if FSu goes to 4 and TCU to 5.
