Snake ID. Eye level devil

Saw this dude in a tree at eye level in tensas parish. We can't ID it.

No chit. Years back when I shot 3D archery tourneys we went to a club shoot outside Columbus,Ga.
As we were about to head out a guy coming off the range hollers "Look at the size of that rat snake!"
We turn to him and he is looking up...straight up.
Out on a limb 25 ft up was a 5-6 ft grey rat snake.
As we watched another came out of a two foot hole in the trunk of the same huge oak tree. The hole was just above the same limb. We sat and watched three more come out of that hole in the next 15-20 mins., all 25-30 ft up the tree.
I said to myself then and there I would NEVER set another stand in an oak tree with a hole again.

Pretty much anything you see climbing like that in La. is going to be a rat snake. You can confirm by holding it. They are shaped like a loaf of bread.
