How many games/year could Paul Johnson win at LSU?

Georgia Techs triple option. How well would it do at LSU? I really think it could work in the SEC.. it counters the hurry-up offenses by limiting their TOP. It's hard to game plan for because it's an unusual offense..

I'd support it

We'd probably throw for more yards than we did this year.

When it's not working though, it is ug-a-ly.

Johnson would easily replicate the 8-9 win seasons we are starting to get. For half the price.

With Jennings speed as a QB and BUGA In the backfield, we would be unstoppable. The only thing limiting us would be Jennings' decision making

Is it worse than trying to run out of the I for 0.25 ypc when it's not working?

Let's say.. Paul Johnson/OC and Chavis defense. I don't see any way it would be any weaker than what we currently have.

Yeah, and this is critical. Jennings has to improve there- if not- ain't happening.

That ugly offense has already scored twice on the FSU defense that beat Auburn last year

With Chavis it would be exactly what we have now. Both offenses are run heavy and time consuming. We would have won the games we have won and lost those that we have lost.

I think the GT QB does have better stats than Jennings

He can't do that in the ACC so I doubt it.

Which is kinda interesting to me.

GT threw for 135ypg this year, ranked #122
LSU threw for 164ypg this year, ranked #116

GT of course had more total and rushing yards.

Imagine LF and Guice as slot backs and Ducre as the FB. No way it's worse than this year offense. Hell, we looked good running the option against A&M (yea A&M, I know, but still).

Do we just assume we'd have the same defense?

3rd ACC title game appearance since 2008 I think. Not too shabby
