That's what I say. The bear has a lot of fat for protection and longer claws.

Per my quick googling of each, a grizzly can weigh up to 200 lbs more than the tiger too. That's a lot of extra mass if the two fighting were the biggest of their respective species.

Id think the grizzly would win the fight of similar sized animals as well.

Really?

Grizzly, all day, everyday. 10/10.

You should have said grizzly vs. polar bear. Now that would be a contest.

What the setting?

In a ring? Probably the bear. A lot heavier. Thicker fat. A frickload stronger. The only chance the tiger has is to use its quickness to get behind the bear and get a bite on its neck.

In the wild? Tiger. Tiger would sneak up on the bear and land a fatal bite to the neck.

Polar, easy. They're almost twice the size as Grizzlies.

Nah, polar bear wins easily. These two fight sometimes already when polar bears come down into the tree line and the grizzlies all run. If one doesn't the polar bear will kill it.
I think people are under estimating the tiger in this one. I've seen plenty of black bears and even been in a cage with them and I've seen a few tigers and they are massive. I'm six one and he was just a little shorter than me on all fours. I think tiger wins

Tiger... I actually think there are recorded incidents where bears are killed by tigers.

The tiger has athleticism on his side. Sure, the bear has mass and claws, but the tiger can quickly strike from a distance. It would be a good fight. I'm sure there's a Chinese zoo we could pay a few bucks to determine this for us.

Grossly underestimating. A Tiger is the most lethal large predator on terra, powerful, sneaky, and literally vicious. A Tiger would have a grizzly dead in five minutes, would not stand a chance.

Bears are stand off challenge fighters, Tigers literally go for the jugular. Bear claws are hammers compared to tiger claws, once set in the bear would have no chance to get away.

The only way the Tiger loses if it gives in the Bear overwhelming physical intimidation and turns tail.

Once engaged the Tiger would win easily

Grizzly bears? A bear isn't a just a bear. Polar & Grizzly bears are large & nasty.

And while they go for the jugular, they can claw the shite out of the bear's gut with their back claws.

Hopefully this isn't a cage match. If so, the tiger's handlers probably won't be able to get it in the cage.
