It's all about USO, OIL, DBO.
I'll be investing in DBO because it is commission FREE through TD Ameritrade.
It's NAV is below 20 (very low of course)and when crude is above 100 the NAV will be above 30.
This should be an easy 50-60% gain long term if you believe crude will return to the 100-110 per barrel range.
Also DBO is actively managed unlike USO and OIL.

Sorry, I assumed he meant a play for today, not a five year plan

Thanks for the input.
I have some cash in my ROTH and think it may be a good time to take a small oil position.
I have been heavy into technology over the years and have done quite well. QQQ
Every time I have bought an individual stock, I've lost my butt. That's why I'm leaning towards oil ETFs.

Please do not take money out of your Roth based on anything I have said. YESTERDAY was a good day to short oil esp. with a leveraged fund. That does not make it a good long term investment.

Anyone have thoughts on XLE? Or are some of these other options that much better? It was recommended to me a few days ago. I may have missed the boat though - I like to buy before a bounce - thought I think its still likely to get lower over the next few weeks.
