Butch is leveraging a raise after a 6-6 season. That's smart. But if Michigan wants to pay him mega dollars, it's not that bad.
Most of our recruits are legacies or have ties to the area. We can bring in a good X's and O's guy and start winning games.

How does a HC get traded? I don't really follow the NFL, obviously.

Butch Jones ???? Come on let's be realistic here. If Michigan does this, then Michigan is no longer serious about its football program. Jones is a decent coach, but he hasn't proved he can revive a struggling program like Tennessee even.

Botch would be great for Michigan.

It was reported yesterday on 97.1 in Detroit that Harbaugh wants 7-8mil/year ,then add 2 mil for staff.

I will eat a baby if harbaugh takes the job.

If Butch Jones was to already leave Tennessee, I would ALMOST feel bad for that school and its fans
A strong Tennessee is good for LSU, I hope that the Jones stuff is just bullshite. Tennessee actually giving Bama a test every year instead of just a walkover SEC game is a good thing for LSU.

The two candidates that have been floated out there I'd be least satisfied with would be Jones and Schiano.

Why would Butch leave Tennessee for Michigan?

and he will have to definitively and emphatically tell them no.
He will HAVE to? Are they going to kidnap him? He doesnt even have to respond to them at all.

Schiano
Why? I know he comes off as a prick and his stint down in Tampa wasn't great, but, he did make Rutgers somewhat acceptable for a brief period. I wouldn't hesitate to say that without Schiano's success, Rutgers likely wouldn't be in the BIG10 now.

Its a much better job.
Why? I've never understood this. A traditional power for sure but so is UT, in the historical sense. Recruiting isn't any easier and may actually be more difficult. The UM legend never even won a NC, for pete's sake. It's a great CF job, no doubt. But much better than Tennessee? I just don't follow.

Butch would be a dangerous hire, IMO, I was high on him after last year, but I feel like he underachieved this year. And he makes a lot of questionable calls like waiting till it was 24-0 against Bama to put Dobbs in. Thank God he did though.

Simple, HC has a contract just like the players. See John Gruden being traded to Tampa Bay.
Posted on 12/4/14 at 6:09 pm to DBU
Yeah, but Gruden reportedly wanted to be traded. If SF pulls something like that, say to the Jets, Harbaugh can refuse. Then SF fires him and he can go to the highest bidder. So i was told.

What is Butch Jones' connection to Michigan?
