I think he should have a little accountability for the people who pay his mortgage, put food on his table, shoes on his children's feet, etc

That is a typical smart arse comment. Don't you believe asses in the seats is important to Miles bosses. We are having a discussion.

If Miles has that F off attitude you speak of with regard to fans, he would be very short sighted.

How the hell do you think the athletic dept gets the money to pay for everything? The fans are everything to college football. Everything. Without them it is the same as college polo

Surely only GREAT coaches kiss the asses of the fans and media.

I notice you quote only one line to try to refute something. Very selective. You are the one that said Miles owes nothing to fans. Thankfully, most would disagree. This is my last comment because I feel you simply want to argue.

Question: So are you purporting that fans pay the Athletic Dept. that pays the football coaching staff?

Question: Do the fans directly pay the football coaching staff?

Question: Is Miles accountable to the Athletic Dept. who pays his salary?

Question: Is Miles accountable to the fans, who does not pay his salary?

I'd like for you to actually answer these.

I apologize. I simply assumed that no rational person would believe that fans will stop watching games because Les Miles failed to definitively state that he was not going to Michigan.

Indirectly, yes. If college football didnt have fans, a head coaches salary would be around what? 45-50k?

OK, so the fans do not DIRECTLY pay the coaching staff and Miles has only SOME accountability to the fans.

And you think that he needs to come out and issue a 'Damn Strong Football Team' speech because there is speculation that he is a potential candidate for the job?

Ok....we're getting a little off subject. Recruit speaking please. What is the mindset of recruits until Les speaks about the subject. Are there any cancelations this weekend?

As a recruit I would want a public announcement in all honesty.

With all the talk it has to have these kids wondering. It's one of those situations where until Les says he isn't interested or they hire someone else, the possibility looms. If he already knows he isn't going I hope he has at least told the recruits as much.

I am not nearly as worried about what Miles says or does not say to these recruits this weekend. I am more upset and worried that these visitors read shite like Scott Rabalais wrote today which undercuts CLM and the program as a whole - he is a douchebag that should move on down the road.

LSU is bigger right now than their coach if Miles goes we get a lot of looks from great coaches.
LSU job is a top ten position

I think Miles stays and we win a National BCS title in 2 to 3 years

Miles is a great recruiter and he gets the players to play hard. I wish he opened the offense up and use our ability like we do on defense.

Our defensive lets the players use their athletic ability and our offense controls all the speed and power we have

Why because that is the way some "fans" around this site act toward and about him. He doesn't owe his critics shite

Best thing Les can do to help recruiting is win games. Best thing fans can do is support the team. Don't give a -hit about Michigan or Les if he leaves. Get the right coach and everything will be all right.

Get the wrong coach and we finish middle of pack in SEC West (again).
