Terrible timing? How does this affect the recruits coming in this weekend? Does Les make a statement by Friday?
Thoughts?

Please exclude the juvenile comments and profanity.

I really don't think that Michigan has any interest in Les. So why do you think that this has any effect? Besides, this could be a positive.

Where did you hear this from? Everything I've heard and read said the exact opposite.

Michigan would be stupid not to go after Miles, and I wouldn't blame Miles one bit for leaving.

I have a bad feeling a lot of moronic LSU fans are about to get exactly what they were wishing for.

If Les leaves for Michigan, I don't think we get a "home run" hire. We end up with a mediocre hire and lose recruits.

With all the talk it has to have these kids wondering. It's one of those situations where until Les says he isn't interested or they hire someone else, the possibility looms. If he already knows he isn't going I hope he has at least told the recruits as much.

As many times as LSU has had to put up with this BS including Ark last year when he obviously is staying and hasn't done anything to deserve a raise this year, for recruiting sake, announce you are not a candidate for that job to stop the speculation.

Les will be the one meeting with the recruits so he will be answering the questions.

He should also be emphatic like he was prior to the championship run in '07. This shows he is now more interested in leveraging his position than he is about recruiting.

I think it is all about getting the best deal. If Michigan gave it to him, he leaves. That's the nature of these coaches.

I do not wish to get into IQ levels and name calling, but I disagree with this on several different levels.

I think we'd end up with Cutcliffe.

Pretty sure that's Michigan's responsibility. Nobody in their Athletic Department has even mentioned him as a candidate. Why would Les go to the media and say that he's not interested?

haha, good call. Les was looked at as a mediocre hire. All he did was win 103 games, 2 SEC Championships, and a NC in 10 years. Not all hires look good on paper.

Simply because he is he is being asked pointedly by the media and he is giving evasive, Les Miles answers.

If he wanted to end speculation and he really isn't interested, he can always give his "have a nice day" speech.

Miles would elevate their program. Possibly back to the top 2 of the Big 10. Would likely still lose 2-3 a year which is nothing to shake a stick at these days.

These morons have the same exact line of thinking as you do, just on the opposite end of the spectrum. The hire could go either way, there certainly are many just as qualified as Miles was when he was hired here. Whether or not they turn that into anything close to the success he's had is another story. Recruiting would take a slight hit this year more than likely, but if a new coach comes out and wins on a big level, see Malzahn at Auburn, it would pick right back up if the new coach is a good recruiter.

He is giving these to us. I am of the opinion that he loves to give us all heart issues with every comment he makes, his way of payback for us contantly holding him to such high standards. If Miles knows for sure he is staying, trust me, he is not giving evasive answers to the recruits. For his shortcomings, the man can recruit with the best of them.

Les is accountable to his players and their families, his staff, and the athletic department. Everybody else can f*** off.

IT's not giving me heart issues, it is tipping the scales for me. Recruits do not like uncertainty and neither do their parents. If he is being evasive in public, you can't tell me it will not create doubt.

With all that being said, he would not get an additional dime from me because of Michigan.

Why is there uncertainty? At this point, it is just a bunch of people speculating.
