He says TCU has a 96.3% chance of making it in.

A KSU fan in my office went through a ton of possibilities similar to what Nate did. TCU certainly has the best possibility. KSU has 3 avenues IMO:

KSU beats Baylor, Obviously.
Ohio State loses to Wisconsin (likely)
Oregon beat Arizona (likely)
Then just one of the other top 3 teams must lose. I don't see Bama getting in by losing to Missouri. They just haven't been that impressive this year to warrant inclusion. KSU played a legit schedule. Best bet though is for FSU to lose.

It's obvious that TCU is in with a win, that's why they were placed at 3, IMO. I think that the committee didn't want to put two teams from the big 12 in the playoff, hence Ohio St.'s placement over Baylor (this is for the event that Florida State loses). I also think that Arizona may control their destiny, if they beat Oregon I think the committee would take a hard look at putting them in over Baylor or Ohio St.

So you think 11-2 Bama would then be ranked below 10-2 K State?

Yeah, that is not happening.

Alabama is all but in, IMO, unless they lose badly and Ohio St. dominates Wisconsin.

To my earlier point about Arizona. They'd have to beat Oregon and probably have Ohio St. lose, which isn't a terribly hard scenario to imagine. I guess it could also work if Florida St. loses. Basically Baylor is fricked unless TCU loses
