10 Years and Hand off the Baton (Rouge)...to another

(crap, just noticed the coaches board...admins, please move)
Miles has 10 years in the books at LSU, or he will complete his 10 years of coaching shortly.
He has a great record, despite the steady dose of offensive frustrations.
Is this a clean break opportunity for him to return to his homeland in honor of his beloved Bo, to make an attempt to restore the Wolverines to a level not seen in a few years?
Or, is his Louisiana comfort high enough (weather, lifestyle, friends/connections, etc) to keep him from being lured by this otherwise highly tempting opportunity?
Well, if he leaves and does not restore Michigan, at least he will feel that he gave it his best. He is already very "accomplished" at LSU, so unless he deems it highly likely that he will win big in this last few years of coaching at LSU, then he does not have to feel like he "Saban'ed us", and he is leaving us in great overall shape as a program (aside from QB).
All along it thought he was just never going to go to UM, but for some reason I am now deeming it a possibility.
If he goes, he can do so with class. If he stays, then that means he has decided to ride it out at LSU and then hang them up, with the hopes to win another big championship in the next 1-5 years.
Harbaugh, of course, would be a better match in my opinion, but he is hard to read.
If he leaves, I am confident that some good coaches will see the LSU program as did Saban before he came here, and with a whole better posture than back in 2000.
It will be interesting to see if he hands off the Baton or keeps it and makes his home in Louisiana for the long run. Anyone know how he feels about shoveling snow? lol

Les is not going anywhere. UM does not want him and I really don't think they ever did. They need to make a great hire this go around and Miles does not fit that bill

What does it tell you when Michigan doesn't want him?

The people that want him gone say he could have a chance to rebuild Michigan, yet they think hes a shitty coach. Why the frick would Michigan hire him if hes such a shitty coach?
Les is staying.

I think that is a matter of internal Michigan politics...
but, why in the world would he want to go to that snake pit?

The same thing it tells me about your comment, unless you are now a UM insider, your comment is based on rumors. Great post!
