Dude did something because they hired the best OCs in the business and got nada. Dude is so good at stopping offense he killed his own.

Muschamp did as good a job as he could have at Florida. After being given a program of thugs and having to follow Florida's most successful coach of all time, it's not like it was gonna be a cakewalk. Whoever ends up there can easily get to 10 or 11 wins next season. They're in better shape than they were in four years ago.

At first I thought it was lack of WR development. Debose has had 6 different WR coaches at UF.

Last year and this year, it has been lack of QB development. Just watch Driskel, he was a better player in year 2 vs year 4.

Oline has had some great games (LSU 2012 and UGA 2014) but not consistant. Since Demps and Rainey, the RB position has lacked a game breaker.

When you don't have a qb who can regularly throw and complete an 8 to 15 yard pass. Or a wr who can catch an 8 to 15 yard pass.....you're not going to have a very good offense.

He brought in Weiss, who had not developed an actual HS QB while in college. See his failures at ND once Quinn (a Junior when he came in)

Brent Pease had proven nothing as an OC for 1-year at Boise State where it is clear now that their HC Peterson was the offensive mind on that team seeing as his previous OC (Harsin) bombed at UT, although he's making an okay HC so far. Then they bring in retread Roper from Duke who was OC in name only under Cutcliffe.

Again, he kept bringing in guys that worked under offensive coaches that were apprentices that proved to be horrible once completely in charge.

That was his issue.

We haven't had good quarterback play since Tebow's last Sugar Bowl. Brantley was a wreck Meyer's last year, and Muschamp failed to do any better after Brantley left. That's what killed him.

And I do think Weis has a roll in all of this. I'm not sure Weis was Muschamp hire or one that Foley foisted on him. There was even rumor back when Champ came in that Meyer and Foley together picked Weis. Whatever the true story, we went into the 2012 season with our third OC since Mullen left and QBs recruited by several different people all with different offensive philosophies. Muschamp never got it sorted.

Well.. Urban Meyer left the program with shite and a whole bunch of players recruiting to play in a spread offense.

Muschamp tried to change it to a pro style offense his first couple of years with spread players.

After recruiting pro-style players for a couple of years, he then decided to try and switch back to a spread style offense this year.

So.. He could of fricked up by not playing to his strengths.

and he also had some shite luck with QBs.

Pretty sure Jeff Driskel and John Brantley were both 5 star QBs that never panned out.

That they ever were highlights some issues with worrying too much about ratings coming out of high school. They played great in high school, but they didn't exactly face the hardest competition.

Brantley played some pretty poor competition. Driskel played in a legit HS division. His team sucked but he led them well.

Uhh....dude we have less offensive linemen on the roster now than we did when Muschamp came here, and us being shallow when he was signed was supposedly a reason to give him time, Dude's a good disciplinarian at times and a hell of a DC but only a decent recruiter and a horrendous head coach.

Will - did not take the thugs & he still had some - like the thug from nola that hit the fsu qb when he was not even in the game

will said that he would not be on the team next year if he was still the coach

Also didn't help that Will is kind of a crappy recruiter, seriously Florida will start next year- after 4 years of recruiting for a powerful line of scrimmage team-- with 6 non true frosh offensive linemen who have a combined 5 snaps or so between them. Guy is a defensive coordinator and has absolutely no idea how to run a program.

Much as I hated to admit it, the facts pretty much speak for themselves.

There is really no such thing as "spread" and "pro-style" players. At few positions such as fullback, perhaps an argument can be made; but overall oline is oline, rbs are rbs, wrs are wrs, they can play in any system

A head coach is more of a CEO/CFO than anything else.

Will put all his eggs in the Driskel basket and then Treon Harris was suspended to complicate things.

FL is a team that needs a STRONG PERSONALITY, no non-sense coach.
Will may bee too nice a guy for FL.
