I tried this one last night and it's good. It's a slushy bourbon milk punch.

In a pinch, I made a quick one last night

Ice > Bourbon > Milk > Vanilla extract > Stir> Cinnamon (didn't have any nutmeg)

It was lovely

I typically prefer one with brandy FWIW

For me:

1 part bourbon
4 parts whole milk
1 teaspoon of honey
A grate or two of nutmeg

Stir it as best you can.

I don't like my milk punches too strong. Really, I don't like any mixed drinks too strong. If I wanted a strong drink, I'd drink the liquor neat.

My favorite recipe:

Pour a couple of fingers of Blanton's over a single ice cube and leave the milk in the fridge.

There are several recipes in the thread below. The recipe I use is there and it's delicious. Simple and rich. I've made jugs of it for a morning party and it goes quickly.

If you can get a copy of the cookbook from Palace Cafe' they have a recipe for it in there that uses ice cream in lieu of milk. Made it simple to put together.

I think this is it.

I just do the basic on the rocks recipe that has been posted already.

Not a fan of frozen drinks (even nonalcoholic), as I find them hard to drink.

This! I don't mind some drinks strong, but I'm not a huge Bourbon drinker to begin with. I had one that was too strong a while back at IPO and it made me get up for the bathroom several times because I was so nauseated.

Weird because I drink often.

Me neither, although this slushy bourbon milk punch recipe I tried last night is actually pretty good.

True story about frozen drinks. The only time I have been drunk in the last 20 years was on frozen drinks. I drink wine every day, and maybe a beer on the weekend and even a margarita now and then, but I never, ever drink to the point of being drunk. But years ago I was at a party thrown by someone affiliated with the Raiders when they were located here in Los Angeles. They had a seemingly never ending supply of frozen Mudslides. I had never had one before and it was like drinking frozen chocolate milk, so I had about 7 of them. When I stood up, I realized I was drunk. I had to get my wife to drive us home. Damn things packed a wallop!

I like frozen daiquiris from time to time, but with a straw, especially the egg nog type that comes out during the holidays.

I like the milk punch recipe I use because it's not frozen. The ice cream is melted and used in place of the milk, cream or whatever.

Too much liqueur knocks me down. I sleep like a rock, though. Coma like.

Sounds eerily close to my method.
