I've got an LG Smart TV and wanted to ask a few questions:

During last Monday's TV debacle of the Ferguson stuff..several of my shows were pre-empted by the MSM and POTUS. As a result my DVR taped that crap...and I missed my shows.

I have Direct TV for TV and Comcast for internet..so I can go Direct TV a week later for the on-demand or Comcast a day later for the show there. I'm trying to find a good way to play that on my LG TV rather than watch it through a laptop. I'm looking for any apps and I didn't see any on LGs store.

Currently streaming via the laptop then thru HDMI cable to TV from website so wife and I can watch it together. Just looking for a better way if there is one.

TIA

My LG Smart TV has a "magic remote". I hit the "Smart" button and an UI pops up where I can select the "Internet" button.

It takes me to the onboard browser for the TV. Why couldn't you just browse from there and go full screen? I do it all the time using a website of questionable legality in order to watch first-run/in-theater movies.

I have the same thing. Problem is, well another problem. Navigation/typing in the URLs are cumbersome. Do you know if the USB ports support a keyboard? Or wireless?

Don't disagree but I type in the s/n and then hit "remember me". I have to enter the s/n/password combo about once every 3 months. It's a really minor inconvenience.

It has a USB ports so it could perhaps accept a keyboard but I've never tried to be quite honest.
