What do student jobs pay, and is it negotiable?

Already had a career, and am back in school for a second time. I have money, but have just been doing random odd jobs and fixing stuff for people to make extra cash for the past few months.
I don't want to get screwed and get paid minimum wage for a job that I should be getting paid more for, so how much does an average student job pay, and are they typically negotiable? I am going in for an interview tomorrow and don't want to go in blind.
I am very qualified for all of the requirements of the job, much moreso than 99% of students, so I didn't plan on getting paid dog shite money. My only bills currently are truck/house insurance and utilities, so they're not that much. I can just relax and keep doing what I feel like, but this job sounds fun.
Job duties for reference:
restoration field work
GIS work
data entry and analysis (Excel and ArcGIS I am guessing)
Maintenance on equipment including boats and vehicles
To me, that doesn't seem like a typical student job, so what should I expect to be getting paid seeing that I have a lot of experience in all of those areas?
ETA: It is for Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, not through UNO

I've heard up to $10. They likely won't care about extra qualifications
Most likely $8. Shot even grad student pay isn't much for me

not a lot and i doubt its negotiable.
most student jobs are minimum wage or somewhere close to it (on the top side)

If you have real professional experience at something then you might be able to get more but honestly for most student jobs you're just another interchangeable body, unless you can show something extraordinary don't bet on it.

FML, I guess this would be a case of being overqualified for the job then?

I mean you could certainly get it. You just won't get paid more. But I lived all my student jobs. Very laid back, do your shite, not too stressful

They're called student jobs because they're meant for students not people with real careers and tons of experience.

Edited the OP because it isn't technically for UNO, but they labelled the posting as "Student Job"

For an undergrad student worker it will be less than 10, and not negotionable, there's a couple thousand that will work for enough to buy cheap beer and gas money. The professor can pick one that will work for what he's offering.
Hell, I was typing that during the op edits

Aaaaah CPRA. Probably up to mid teens from what I've seen. 13-15 likely I'd think

If you're in school for that then absolutely take the job. WGAF what it pays if it buys you experience in your field.

Okay cool. I've actually extensively done all of those in my career and job path. Just didn't want to get the shaft and come out making minimum wage like some fricktard that hasn't ever done any of those things.
The posting just seems too specific for a minimum wage job, but what do I know?

I'd take the job no doubt

1. Go in and say the following:
3. ???
4. Profit
quote:2. Work
Well, I'm sure there have been amazing technological advances in the industry, but surely you must have some sort of training program. It seems unfair to presume I won't be able to learn.
3. ???
4. Profit

I was planning on taking it if they were going to offer over $12.50/hr, but I know how some employers don't want people to be as qualified as me. Like I said though, I don't need the money, but it seems like it would be fun.
Supposedly the last guy was there for 3 years

I don't see why they wouldn't hire you.

I made minimum wage plus 25 cent increase per year when I had a student job in college. At LSU.
