Is this a plausible scenario at quarterback for us............

LSU brings in Chad Kelly assuming the staff thinks he is worth the risk. Harris redshirts next year giving him time to mature and learn the system inside and out.Kelly is the QB for 2 years. Then Harris takes over for his junior and senior year.

If Harris had to redshirt next year, we either have the most incompetent coaching staff on the planet or we always recruit the wrong QB's.

According to your scenario, Harris would only have one year left even if he redshirts.

In theory possible.
But no better or more likely than either Jennings OR Harris stepping up, receivers improving and LSU winning big with what we have.

no. If we redshirt Harris NEXT year, he's gone. And I wouldn't blame him for leaving if that happens.
And bringing in Chad Kelly would be a huge mistake.

How about we trust in Harris to learn whatever he has to learn. He has way more talent than Kelly and I'd much rather see him play the next 2-3 years.
Kelly will have to learn the system, learn how to play from under center, and not be a complete arse to his coaches. I don't think he can accomplish all that in just a few months.

I'm with you DAT.
People just don't understand the concept of Harris improving from his freshman year to his sophomore year. And I love when people say he's not a viable option for us. He's shown major talent as a true freshman. People are just dumb.

We do...
And we have 1 committed to us already and are interested in a few others. Plus the state of LA is loaded with QBs in 2016.
