Seems like when A&M starts winning some then we can call it a rival but we're 4-0.

Les tries to make it interesting by changing the game plan at the end which favors the opponents and make these games nailbiters when they should be runaways but oh well. I think he forgot to turn his headset on in the beginning too, ughhhhhhhh.

Moral victory after a victory? Who cares, if it turns into one, cool.

More of a rivalry than LSU Arky IMO. I know a bunch of Louisiana people that are A&M fans and Alumni. They also talk mad shite, this reminds me of the Saints ans Cowboys rivalry. I like the idea of a trophy for it on Thnaksgiving as well.

Every SEC West school is a rival IMO, they have a shot at ruining our season each year

I would be curious to know the average age of people who claim that LSU and A&M is not a rivalry. Not to discredit them for being young, just to judge the way A&M is perceived, generationally.

Because if say that A&M is not a rival to LSU to someone who watched them in the 80's, for instance, they would look at you like you're crazy.

LSU and A&M are great rivals for each other.

Why are people always so eager to claim "no rivalry" with another school? Rivalries are fun. We should want more, not less of them.

When I started at LSU, 1992, we played A&M in the season opener every year. They got the better of us every time. At least that's how I remember it. I was a complete drunk and that was a long time ago, so my facts may not be straight.

I graduated HS in '91. I remember A&M being a rivalry, with them getting the best of us. I think it is a lot more natural rivalry than Arkansas. So they haven't beaten since joining SEC, but using that logic we are not Bama's rival either. Think about the recruits we fight both schools for. If we start losing to A&M then say goodbye to east Texas recruits.

A&M joining the SEC was the best move possible for both parties.

LSU and A&M had a great OC rivalry from '86 to '95 (became one-sided after '91). Harvey Williams, Keith Woodside...both playing for universities in the opposite state.

It is going to be a great rivalry and is a lot more realistic than pretending Arkansas is a true rival. The east/southeast Texas recruiting wars will only get even better over time. Many think this hinders us...I and others believe it helps. More HS phenoms will have LSU in their sights rather than UT or OU.

Yeap, in the 90's, we were 1-5 against the Aggies. Whether in BR or CS, fans fighting in the stadium was a guaranteed factor. The mutual hatred was there and in my case, it still remains

Yes it is. It's a bigger game, by far, than Arkansas for instance. Those of us who can remember the 80's and 90's can tell you how much hatred there was for the A&M game.
