So do plenty of the cracka arse crackas on this board and the OT. There are plenty of threads about unjustified tasering incidents or cops shooting dogs.

I don't like cops, and I'm white. As much as I believe there is the potential for things to go very badly whenever I interact with a cop, they aren't actively going to seek me out.

They do actively seek out black youths.

State oppression of Black Americans was the written law of the land until 1964. You expected them to be over it in 50 years, even though they still suffer from the consequences of segregation? Of slavery?

While true, that does not explain why literacy, and I believe overall household wealth, levels have gone down markedly since that time and incarceration rates have gone through the roof.

All groups of Americans have suffered in this regard, but it's much worse in the black community.

And it's not because of some grand conspiracy to subjugate the black man.

Well, its true, but they have no one to call them on it, or to show them whats right or wrong. Damn sure ain't got any father figures in their lives, at least most of them, and that's the problem, along with the shitty Media...

I'm referring to the young black person that talks about how they don't have this and that due to whites. They talk about slavery like it happened yesterday. They talk about the cops, like the cops don't have a reason to be in their "hood".

In all seriousness, do you have firsthand experience with a lot of young black people to validate your premise?

Most of the young black people I deal with are pretty much like the young white people I deal with.

I don't know anything about literacy decreasing. I do know that when you privatize prisons, you create a financial incentive to imprison people. The justice system is skewed in favor of white convicts as far as sentencing is concerned. You've also got the war on drugs and a general distrust of law enforcement by the black community at work here.

Some would say that slavery created a stigma against education among black people and removed the cultural foundation of the healthy family unit - encouraging a more matriarchal society where the father is disposable.

Some say that. Not sure of the actual impact but it's not completely farfetched.

A link of the media going against the narrative? Good luck with that. Thankfully we can discuss the obvious here until censorship ruins this board too. The answer is because there are so many old racist keeping the fires kindle not to mention their white guilt massas.

Absolutely and the media has pounded it into their heads that they are victims. In a lot of ways they are. Victims of their own ignorance and the liberal media who repeatedly tell them they are worthless. Instead of building them up and telling them they can achieve anything they want.
If there is one thing young people like it is watching "the media."

Many are raised that way... No family structure or stability is major problem. Grandparents are major influence who did grow up during segregation

Young blacks see a massive and growing achievement gap that is explained by his elders (incorrectly) as evidence of racism. That's a cop out and it teaches young blacks that they can't have success and shouldn't bother trying.

So, poor urban culture appears to be based on mistrust and prejudice against whites....and the political system operating to exploit blacks aggravates racial tensions and promotes fear and hatred of whites.

It's my opinion that the biggest civil rights issue of our time is the unequal access to good public education. In urban areas, education reform are fought tooth and nail by the same public sector unions and special interests that black voters support enthusiastically.

Right. "Racists" is the word you meant to use, but you're a typical redneck who isn't smart enough to figure out how to pluralize words that end in -ist.

Being fatherless and being taught how to play the hood games are primary factors.

Also, ghetto-black women have it made, in their minds. Cheating the system is something they pass down to youth. Boys are to go out and procreate for the family's sake and girls are to benefit...and both sexes are primarily cool with it.

Before anyone disagrees with me, realize that as a younger male, I bought lots of pot and pills. My guy lived in three places off of Mohican, Convention, and Clayon streets. I often took him to get my stuff. He and I actually became -- well, friends is not the word -- but, "cool" and I became acquaintances/buyers to several of his inner-circle. They all had this in common:

-2 or more children with 1-4 females.
- they sold drugs to pay for their children and baby mammas (the later getting most of the reward)...young hood rat dudes actually cannot be considered non-providers; they just leave it to the grandparents and the mother to parent.
- They had each been to jail and sentenced from anywhere between 30 days and 10 years. NONE of them did a bid over 9 months.
- They NEED whites, no matter how racist they are, to develop a decent cash flow. Selling nickels of crack won't cut it.
- They all dropped out of school by 10th grade.
- They all told me how "the game" is played and how their baby mammas pay a couple dollars in rent and get that LA Purchase card. The name of the game is also to "sell ya kids" at tax season for $500 so the other can make up to $2 grand.

Poor ghetto-blacks also do not want to work hard and move into "safer" or "whiter" neighborhoods. It would be too much trouble for them.
