Is okay to fry but I'm not so sure that's safe. Am I over reacting.

It depends on how frozen, but it can be a very bad idea. Basically it's a turkey bomb.

Are we talking frozen solid, then no it isn't safe. If it is frozen around the thighs, just wash it in cool water in the sink to defrost. Set out for a little bit then drop in the fryer slowly.

If it's still frozen, I wouldl call the fire department now! Previously frozen is ok, but not recommended. The reason why is a prev frzn bird is inject w/ a salt solution and as it is lowered down into the oil, pockets of solution can cause sudden pops and boils in the oil. It could cause the oil to boil over and a fire.
