I'm told otherwise but I am skeptical because they look like a small oven to me.

Infrared is the shite. frick off

People who bought the infrared are trying to talk themselves into thinking they made the right decision.

I'm trying one at lunch today.

I was given one for Christmas. Haven't bought a jug of peanut oil since.

Been using one since 2009 and it tastes better and has paid for itself three times over.

Because it is a small oven

Tell me it's not as messy, tell me the skin crisps up the same, but don't tell me it tastes better

So let me get this straight... When I fry something, it's oil on a heat source at 335°
When I bake something, it's in a 335° oven and not submerged in oil.
So is my oven really an oilless fryer?

Yes
I've had IR turkeys that were good, some that were bad, but not one of the group can touch a deep fried bird
