because they are obsessed with him.?

quote:This is the one thing that baffles me - why people believe this is so. The bad old days were bad coaching days. They were not related to LSU being LSU. Look at how quickly and relatively easily Dinardo started recruiting outstanding talent, how he turned things around before he made his fatal Tepper mistake and regressed. And then how Saban came in and infused the program with new life and fire. And then how relatively unheralded CLM came in and maintained a high level of achievement and pretty impressive recruiting for nearly 10 years, with a (not totally) surprising dropoff near the end of the 10.
Because it is extremely unlikely that we get someone that can win more games than he can..
If CLM leaves for any reason, LSU will still be LSU and we needn't despair at whether another coach can be found to lead LSU forward into more excellence and achievement. It will happen.
One thing, though. I think Alleva can't be the one and only factor in this search; he's not an SEC wartime consigliere and misses some crucial nuances in living and competing at the highest levels in the world of SEC Football.

Imo I disagree. I believe with the talent we have and can keep Frank Wilson for recruiting we could easily get some one that can win. I believe we are winning with talent in spite of out on field coaching. Yes I know Miles gets the talent but FW gets most of it.

He has a top 5 win % in sec history. He has delivered the most successful era of lsu football, EVER.

thanks for helping me figure out that CLM fans are average people with low expectations. In the past 12 year LSU has produced more players in the NFL than any other college and we only have 1 championship. And for the people saying CLM keeps his players out of trouble that's hilarious.

You have no idea what youre talkkng about. Go ask USC, Florida, and texas( all programs with more fertile recruiting areas) about getting rid of a coach and just maintaining a power program.

Its true.since Miles was hired no p5 program has more wins, no program has beaten more ranked teams, no sec team has more sec titles. If this is average, sign me up for more average.

Classic low self-esteem syndrome on a fan base level.

gives back to the community (cane's chicken fingers commercials),
So getting paid for endorsements is giving back to the community????
I thought giving back to the community was donating your time or your assets to make things better.
I fail to see how a Cane's commercial enriches anyone's life besides Les Miles' and his bank account.

So you dont like cam?

Louisiana has produced more NFL players per capita. USC had sanctions. Florida made a bad hiring choice just like we did when our stud coach left, and Strong hasn't had a chance to clean up Mack's mess yet.

You are such a fricking retard, you're beyond help.
Posted on 11/27/14 at 8:41 am to rutiger
The only coach I like at LSU is Chavez. So No I don't like cam

So by your understanding, Kentucky and John Calipari should win the National Championship every year because Kentucky basketball players IMPROVE when they get to the NBA.
Posted on 11/27/14 at 8:43 am to TeamLSU
Calipari and CLM name shouldn't be in the same statement
Posted on 11/27/14 at 8:44 am to Silverbackpunch
He may not be the best but he is one of the better coaches out there. i honestly do not think we could find a better hire at the moment. If we were in any other conference we would be dominant and you people would still be on the guys arse. Btw is he the only who coach who has defeated saban more than anyone else.

While I only mostly disagree with you, the good news is that you are too stupid to argue with.
Good day.
Good day.
Posted on 11/27/14 at 8:49 am to Silverbackpunch
But according to your logic THEY BOTH should never lose a championship game and play for championships every single year. So maybe your LOGIC shouldn't be mentioned with CLM.

These are the records of respected SEC coaches after their first 9 years in the league.
