But, the concept of us being more limited with him than with AJ seems a bit of a stretch

I hear ya! I scratched my head too on this one. I was wanting Harris to see the field too until I saw him see the field. It was clear that this was Jennings team until Arkansas. That was a disaster. To think Harris couldn't beat out Jennings as bad as he is is an indictment of Cam Cameron IMO. The only rationale explanation for this debacle is that Cam is not teaching them effectively.

As I stated in my original post though, I don't think it will do Harris harm by not playing against aTm. He needs to look to the spring and focus on learning this offense. If he gets in the game against aTm, I'll hope for the best, but I wouldn't look for anything much better than what we've seen so far.

Apparently,Harris cant get past page 10 of the playbook. He was calling plays in the huddle that don't exist. He's either not bright enough to pick it up or he's not studying. If that's the case, we need to bring in a JUCO QB, if nothing more than to bridge the gap to the 2016 guy's.

I'm not so much worried about who to blame as recognizing the horrifying possibility that if Harris really can't beat out AJ, then we are in for a rough couple of years of LSU football. Normally, ONE guy can't ruin a team but, unfortunately, no matter how good your team is otherwise, a bad QB most certainly can.

If BH isn't good enough to put AJ on the bench, we are fricked.

Kendell Beckwith disagrees with this.

OK so he came on and looked great this year, so that means he was ready the day he stepped on campus.

You guys don't give the benefit of the doubt either way. And you wonder why he speaks in riddles.

And 4 turnovers on the first 4 drives against Sam Houston was not a disaster?

You completely ignore the fact that a Harris led Offense scored on successive drives 9 straight times. Is that a disaster?

AJ couldn't score against Arkansas. Is that a disaster? How is it possible to score worse than 0 points? How can any human being watch a football team score zero points for three quarters and think "if we change quarterbacks now, our offense may suffer?"

You're either intentionally obtuse or have never watched a football game in your life.

There are no riddles.

Ever read a The Sound and the Fury? If you did, the part where Benji narrates is equivalent to Miles speaking. And if you haven't read it, perhaps you've read or heard the Quote by Shakespeare which is what Faulkner was alluding to:

"It is a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing."

Pretty ironic post. Whole lot of words there, not exactly on topic.

Try responding to the point of what I was saying. Dimwits all over this board scream to put I'm a young player, and when he finally goes in, they criticize the coach some more saying he should have done it sooner.

NM State, not SH State. You know the one that started with 4 straight turnovers with AJ and ended with 7 straight touchdowns with Harris.

It was right on topic. You said Miles speaks in riddles. He doesn't. He doesn't have the mental capacity to speak in riddles. He's not intelligent enough to speak in riddles. He speaks in compound, run-on sentences bordering on gibberish. That's not a riddle.

Yeah and ended in 9 touchdowns overall. Why are people still upset about a game that was never actually in jeopardy?

Well, if you are saying he skates around providing answers that properly respond to a question or comment, I'd say you are pretty adept in that as well.

He doesn't speak in riddles, literally, but he speaks in ways that morons can't understand because they aren't the answers they expect to hear.

The poster said Harris was a disaster vs Auburn. I'm saying AJ was a disaster vs NM state. Yes we scored 63 points. Our offense scored 49 points with Harris in and 7 with AJ in. The other TD came on a Pick 6 by our defense.

Given that our offense scored all of 7 points under AJ in a quarter and a half, there is no reason to believe the game was never in jeopardy when he was in there.nit certainly was.

Ever hear people speak with extra words thinking extra words will make them sound more intelligent?

"at this particular point in time, the fact of the matter is, the issue at hand is the lsu offense." thats what Miles does.

Because the starting QB was so bad that he had 3 turnovers in the 1st quarter and a half. Team had NO points against a POS opponent.
Just another example of a game where Miles did not have the team prepared to start the game. Seems like every other game, we come out in a daze and look terrible.
WI, New Mexico State, AU, Ms St, Arkansas - we sucked coming out the gates in every one of those games. Well coached teams do not play so inconsistently an entire season.

Correction: 4 turnovers on the first 4 possessions. And he still waited another quarter to take him out

Bama was beating the West Carolina Catamounts 10-7 after the first Q, last week. Oregon was down 7-0 against Wyoming early this year after Q1. FSU has been down at half in 5-11 of games in 2014.

LSU was up 14-0 after Q1 against NMSt.

Do you people watch any other games?

If I could paraphrase, Miles is saying..."we are waiting for Harris to take the reins of this team. Right now, he just is not getting it fast enough. If we put him in the game, we are limiting us even more than what you see with Jennings.
That's a scary thought.

So, is BH all of a sudden going to "Get It" by the Spring or Fall and take over the QB position. Nobody knows at this point. It's a gamble now.

Hey Les, running off Rettig because he couldn't run fast enough doesn't look like such a good idea now, does it? Better quit screwing around and get Kelly or Fitzwater in here ASAP........
