Agreed. Occasionally, though, he let's his guard down and some actual forthright communication leaks through.

I know the QB has to know "all" of the plays n the playbook, but we don't run "all" of the plays during the game. I say we probably run about 10-15 different plays a game, if that many. We run a lot of the same plays out of different formations. Most OC's script the first 15 plays anyway.

And why don't you give them credit for making this change? People forget how out of position Kendall used to get himself. Everyone knew Welter was too slow, but beckwith had to learn the position first then they made the change.

He was out of position a lot against Auburn. You could argue that by playing more and making the mistakes, made him learn faster than by watching Welter not tackle anyone and run slow.

Right now, he just is not getting it fast enough. If we put him in the game, we are limiting us even more than what you see with Jennings. So in the meantime, what you see is what we can do. Period"

There is no way it can be any worse so what would it hurt by letting him come in and play

So far I agree with the other poster. Cam certainly has not been worth the money! Maybe that is why they fired him in the Pro's.

Maybe Les should just say "we suck this year, and I'm trying to prevent Harris from suffering an unnecessary injury at the back end of this season."

in that preseason video where cam said that we would run a vanilla 1950's offense because we couldn't throw and catch the ball, was that aimed more at the QBs or WRs? anybody remember?

This is the part of the conversation where Cam has to take some responsibility. As some point, Cam must realize that Jennings is not getting it done and Harris ain't getting it. In addition, LF only has a "package" per Les. I guess he's not "getting all of it" either???

I think our offense works. We've seen it work, but Cam has to be able to teach it better. I am hoping that our youth (Harris and LF) is what's holding us back. Otherwise, we are looking for a new OC after next year and need to reassess our entire approach to offense.

Contrary to what most ranters think, Miles and Cam are not idiots. They know football and are playing the best players that help the team win.

I think the point you're missing is that this isn't just a one time thing. Miles hasn't recruited and developed a single QB since he's been at LSU. Not. One.

The only way we could be MORE limited is if Brandon Harris doesn't know how to hand the ball off.

Miles also said they are trying to put Harris in a position where he can make some explosive plays without encumbering him with the whole offense

So he doesnt know the offense because they arent teaching it to him.

There goes that Pumper argument.

maybe that works for a defensive player, but I don't think this is how you develop QBs that the entire offense runs through. One mistake by a MLB means a first down by the other team after the safety recovers. one mistake by a QB and your drive is over...you're punting. It's apples and oranges.

He was a de last year. He's played in every game this year, when it came on, he has stayed the starter. I don't see how this has anything to do with Miles and Cameron's problem at qb. You either want Les to meddle in the D or just let chavis do his job.

My opinion...I wouldn't expect to see Harris play much this year, but that is probably more of a testament to Harris still not knowing the offense well enough. I also believe that he can still win the job in the spring despite not playing much this year. That will require Harris devoting himself to the offense though and working.

I don't think the issue is Jennings over Harris. The issue is why has it gotten to the point where a QB like Jennings is LSU's best chance to win.

Anyone thinking they have a better grasp of the LSU quarterback situation than miles and Cam is only fooling themselves. While we all have rhe right to our own opinions,. those opinions carry little weight in comparison to two guys who have proven themselves to be highly successful in the game of football.

Once we understand that simple fact, watching LSU football becomes a lot more relaxful. IMO
