I can't argue with that. If Cam can't get it done, it's Miles problem. He hired him and has to own that.

I will admit the possibility of Miles playing favorites at the cost of losing winnable games if you admit that there is a possibility that Jennings may, in fact, give LSU the best chance to win.

Cam recruited Harris and wanted him badly. So, if Cam can't develop Harris, it's on him. However, the player has to take responsibility in the situation and handle his business too.

So, if I have faith in Harris, he will automatically know the playbook and will lead us to victory? Faith is the answer? So, regardless of him not knowing plays, we are just going to put him out there and hope for the best?

I can pray for this though, right? Only, I think LSU winning is pretty low on God's priority list.

Surely you can't be serious. We run the most simplistic, vanilla offense possible.

To be fair to Miles and Harris, it is still rare for true freshmen to be starting at QB and shining. Jameis Winston was redshirt QB as was Manzeil .... meaning they spent a full year learning the system before being thrown into the fire.

I can remember when Gerry DiNardo had to start a freshman by the name of Herb Tyler back in 1995 (6) he didn't allow Tyler to throw all that much. It was hand off to Faulk, hand off to Mealey, hand off to Cleveland or keep on the option. Rarely did he throw the ball and then it was usually to LaFleur for a short gain

If you can't appreciate the nuances of a pro-style offense and the requirements of the QB in that system, then you are showing your ignorance. Cam's offense requires alot out of the QB.

I hate this line of thinking. It's retarded. You don't just say 'frick it' because you're no longer in the running to win the conference. You try to win every game.

sure we try to win every game, but we're an elite program whose goal each year is to compete for conference championships. When that's not happening, I've got no problem with playing younger guys to get them ready for next year.

For a program like LSU, the difference between 8-4 and 7-5 should mean nothing.

I'm just tired of hearing all the excuses from this staff. Is Kyle Allan that much better than Harris, or is it the offense they are trying put him into that limits him. I think it's the latter. Miles has refused to change with the times or the personnel and it's killing the offense. I just hope LSU can win out and get some good vibes going forward.

Every offense requires a lot out of the QB. I get that. But you're really stretching with your "nuanced" argument.

LSU has scored 2 TD's TOTAL in the last three games. It's time for a change after getting SHUT OUT against Arkansas. That is pathetic. No more excuses. Jennings can't get it done. Next man up.

Our offense is not a one-read offense and requires them to make multiple reads. Our offense requires the QB to take snaps under center to allow for a true play action pass situation keying off our running game. Jennings doesn't seem to make more than one read. The basics of running our offense are not there so everything breaks down. It looks simplistic because our QBs are limited in what they can do. These are the nuances i am referring to.

The big question is whether our QBs will "get it" by spring. If not, then we need a change at OC due to Cam's inability to teach or Cam's inability to adapt to the QBs we have.

You sound like a rantard who knows nothing about football. The plays you see run on Saturdays are not the only plays a QB has to know. You see a vanilla offense b/c that's all our QB can handle at this moment. There are so much more to playing QB than throwing and handing off.

Miles didnt say he isnt mastering what they gave him.

Can you show me where Miles said that?

2 years in the system (cam's system) and he gets worse each game.

time to go in a different direction. jennings is a backup QB.

AJ has been in the program for 2 full seasons at this point.

If he doesnt know they offense with all his "study time" then that's an abject failure of coaching.

ABJECT FAILURE.

Read my post above to you about the use of the word "encumbered". You will have your answer.

Sadly you dont get it either.

Miles didnt want to encumber him with the whole playbook. So saying he isnt playing because he doesnt know the whole playbook isnt his fault...it's the staff for not teaching him.

Can you please show me where Miles said he doesnt know the plays they told him to know?

tia.
