Trying to fill this mule deer tag so I can concentrate on whitetail. Guide has a couple big ones spotted they just need to move down closer to me.

Up a tree in Phillips Co. Ar-Kansas. Sitting in an open box stand - hate this set up because I'm up here for every creature to see but it's the only option I have (in the air) here as its my in-laws land that borders the national forest. Hoping to get some movement I here. Killed a decent 6 point this time last year in this spot.

30-06
Breezy and cool

Good luck fellas and stay safe.

Anxious to see what's been on the cameras. Got until Friday night to bring home some meat!

went to Sherburne (section 120 road)...several trucks there...I got in late but saw several gray's and woodies...no shots...
road down I-10 to Butte Larose landing and spoke with a few people taking out...woman and husband group took a few woodies and teal...said they saw a lot of birds...you know how that goes...

Wind may blow me out this stand. Not much confidence with it blowing like it is.

Took the shorthairs and little wick to Indian Bayou for a woodcock scout today. We walked way too far and found zip-o-la.

Any deer or duck hunters spotting woodcock on public land? This can be at dusk when they are flying or birds that are being flushed as you walk...

Wick, I haven't seen any yet. My woods are bone dry. Maybe that is why. When I start to see some, I will give you a call to let you make a hunt.

The wife is stuck in her stand. A doe walked out next to her stand and she doesn't want to scare it away. Its been there for 30 minutes on a buck only day

Had a spike come out about 20 mins before dark then a small bobcat came down another lane. Was debating on shooting the bobcat but didn't want to spook anything coming to the plot. Shot the bobcat and the spike just looked up and froze for a few mins then went back to feeding.
7 mag did work on the cat.
