It's funny that people overlook dozens of terrible performances by RG3. Yet, McCoy or Cousins has one bad game and they should never start again.

People are so short-sighted when it comes to NFL QBs.

While Griffin is not a part of Washington's plan for Sunday's game, he still appears to be a significant part of the Redskins' long-term plan, per another source.

Colt McCoy is even hotter garbage than RG3 even in his current state. Things must be real bad in Washington.

How many picks did they trade for RG3?

And every time I see you say that the main reason #RGDiva looks like a Pop Warner league reject is the Skins' offensive line, I stop reading.

#RGDiva is a bust - a three first round and one second round bust. A bust as in BOOM type of bust. A bust that knocks your franchise back five to ten years considering you could have acquired four top-notch, productive players who stuck around and contributed for eight or so years with those picks.

Instead you have an arrogant cancer that Gruden is trying to remove from the body Redskins. Good for him because he didn't cause this mess. But the men who did (Snyder and Allen) are still around.

The Skins have the fifth-worst record in the NFL for the past... 23 years. They've sucked balls for basically a GENERATION. (Note, generations are not 75 years like another poster contended earlier this week).

Jerry and the Cowboys ain't the best, but they're far from being the Redskins.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

The Skins have won 3 games this year, 2 are because of Colt. He should have never been benched going into Minnesota.

I think they just wanted to make sure / show the ownership that RG3 ain't the guy and that they can move on.

Popular narrative, but the sack discrepancy between the three quarterbacks is pretty telling.

What are you talking about?
Cousins was given a great opportunity and he screwed it up.

The Redskins online has been a dumpster fire protecting qb's the last 15 years.

Which should take priority over trading picks for a QB. Cleveland actually did a pretty great job of getting talent on that roster.

Really? He's started 9 games. These are his stats:

199/338 59% 2536 yards 282/game 14 TDs 15 INTs

Here are the stats of another NFL QB through his first 9 starts. Tell me if you can name this QB:

183/334 55% 2013 yards 224/game 12 TDs 18 INTs

Saying that another QB had worse stats but ended up doing fine doesn't mean he hasn't been bad.

I think that it is relevant to say that Kirk Cousins has been better through his first 9 starts than Peyton Manning was through his first 9 starts. I mean, he's the greatest QB of all-time stats wise.

My comment was that it is short-sighted to ditch a QB like Kirk Cousins based off a few bad games but to continue to let RG3 have try after try. Kirk Cousins has shown the flashes of what it takes to be a good NFL QB. The mistakes he's made are because of lack of playing time.

I don't think he's a future All-Pro QB or anything. But, he could improve enough to become an every day starter if given time to grow. NFL teams throw QBs away far too fast.

We're comparing Kirk Cousins to Peyton Manning now? It's such a lazy argument to make. "Yeah, but he did better than Peyton in his first X amount of games. Just give him more time. Maybe he can turn it around." Perhaps the coaching staff has seen enough to know that Cousins isn't the answer. It should tell you something when the coaching staff thinks McCoy gives them a better chance to win.

He's had more than a few bad games.

Because they burned a lot of capital to get him and the ownership likes him. He'll get more opportunities to right the ship because more has been invested in him.

I disagree. The mistakes are because he's just not very good. He's been given plenty of opportunity but hasn't shown himself to be a very good QB. It's not like he has a shitload of talent and just needs some more PT to work out the kinks.

Why do you think the coaching staff is passing over him in favor of Colt McCoy?
