179 pressures but only 16 sacks. He's been hit 8 times while throwing

Sack % rate when pressured of 8% (Aaron Rodgers is at 19.4%)

While the interceptions are crushing, we wouldn't have a top 20 offense if he was getting sacked

Yep. The Oline is a big problem. The pressures are certainly leading to the interceptions.

Definitely need to address pass protection in the offseason.

In yesterday's game, Brees had been absolutely perfect up until the pick 6, and we were still just tied at home.

That is crazy

pressure and Brees' unwilling to take a sack earlier in the year.

He's been willingly taking the sacks lately though:
13 sacks since TB (6 games)
4 sacks from start to TB (5 games)

Wins and losses are more important than offensive ranking. Rodgers gets sacked a lot but whose team is in a better position?

The point went over your head. I'm suggesting that this ability, even with the picks, is a net benefit. Sacks end drives

He's one of the least pressured QB's in the NFL. He's only been pressured 108x and doesn't carry near the same workload that Drew Brees does for us. He doesn't throw that much

Time to Sack for Drew Brees is 3.29 seconds. Time to sack for Aaron Rodgers is 2nd best @ 3.89 seconds.

The crazy thing is that Drew is getting rid of the ball quicker than ever this year at around 2.5 seconds

When Marc Trestman and his staff get fired, we need to bring Kromer back.

Fixing o line has to be number one priority this offseason.

What is he in attempts? I'd argue we're throwing far too much at times as well which exacerbates the problem.

Where's hoodoo with the PFF numbers? I'm ready to scorn the oline some more.

I think Grubbs and Evans will both be gone next year. The team has shown they are willing to part with once-important veterans who are on the decline. The rules should apply to those two as well.

Wouldn't have a problem if we drafted 3 olinemen. Fortunately interior linemen aren't exactly super high commodities. Should be able to grab quite a few good ones. I'd rather get maulers in draft and grab a FA corner.

This thread needs to be stickied. People keep blaming Brees for the ints (I did at one point without realizing something.) While he is at fault, it isn't just him. The damn interior line is straight garbage. If it was like in 09 we would be winning a lot more games due to less turnovers.
