Haha thanks for the info but I don't really care about Harden's stats for the game... was just replying to someone's comment about Harden standing there on that specific play out of laziness.

What does any of that have to do with the gif in question?

Did you see what I responded to? The thought of a guy doing that and being called lazy. But hey, that is what the Internet is for amirite.

He wasn't planning on defending. He was planning on fouling. He could have executed it better, but this wasn't him getting blown by due to laziness or being a bad defender.

Lebron was lazy on defense all last year and this year, he still puts up stats, so I fail to see your point.

When Ariza hustles back to defend a fast break and Harden stands his ground and flings an arm out, yes, that is lazy.

So stick to the plan and stand there flat footed, don't change your plan and turn around and run down court?

How hard was he "trying"?

What kind of effort was he giving to try and take that foul?

Ariza had to get back to defend the basket.

Do any of you even understand fast break defense?

You disagree that Lebron put up points and was lazy as well? You think he either didn't put up numbers or gave max effort?

Yes, it is not to be played flat footed.

Pretty basic level stuff here.

4th time:

How hard was he "trying"?

What kind of effort was he giving to try and take that foul?

He should have turned around and ran after he didn't get the call, but that wouldn't have changed the perception that you guys have of him getting blown by.

Yeah I understand it pretty well. On a Three on Two fast break such as this, one man defends that point and once man defends the basket.

And there's your problem, you're trying to imply that Harden was "defending" the point. A guard sprints to the free throw line extended and comes out on the point. Harden didn't move a step from when the ball was blocked to when Larson ran by him.

Psychic in the house!!!

Not turning back to run, you don't think there's anything wrong with not doing that?

By the way, you really show your insecurity when you make comments like this on a digital message board.

Nah, he went max effort, all out to try and pick up the ball...flat footed. It was a great play, nothing wrong at all!!!

It would've helped.

Is it not telling that the only people I've seen trying to defend this are Rockets fans?

Because he was going to foul to stop the fast break before the ball even got passed half court...

Which brings me to my previous point...I'm sure Ariza loved hustling back on defense so that Harden could not move an inch and fling his arm up for a foul.

I literally just said he should have turned around to run...
