Was that the show at TwiRoPa in 2004/2005? That was the single dullest show I ever went to. I think they played all the songs from their first two albums in order, with the exact same arrangements as on record and didn't speak to the audience. It was like listening to those first two records on a nice stereo system.
I saw Smashing Pumpkins at Lollapalooza 94 and they were really excellent. They just sounded massive. I saw them at the Cajundome in 96 and they sucked. The sound was horrible. It didn't help that Billy Corgan was saying shite like "I guess you don't get too many good concerts in this town. I don't know why we're playing here." frick you, you pretentious bald-headed weirdo.

Elton John. I was really excited to see him, and he's always had a great rep as a live act. He was just meh.

Korn honorable mention due to Davis' health. Weird having a 1-2 minute lights off break between songs. Crowd never got into it. Seen them since to better results.
ETA: RHCP are infamous for varying their set from night to night quite a bit, sometimes changing as many as 8-9 songs. It's just luck of the draw with them.

probably not the MOST underwhelming but recently The Killers at Hangout were pretty bad.

This was my first ever concert. I remember it being decent. Billy Corgan said something about "why aren't we in New Orleans" or "we should be in New Orleans tonight" or something like that and it kinda pissed me off. I didn't realize what a pretentious douche he is back then.

My wife and I got free tix to see Trans Siberian Orchestra about 8 years ago in Dallas. We still laugh about how dumb that show was. We left during intermission.
