The Cars at what was then called the Centroplex in 1980 or '81. They played for less than an hour and pretty much just mailed it in. The Motels opened for them and were much better in my opinion.
I have to agree about Cowboy Mouth too. When I saw them they played with a lot of energy but Fred is just annoying.

Bob Dylan is the worst show i have ever seen and it's not even close
Yep. saw him at Jazz Fest roughly ten years ago and it was atrocious, but like someone pointed out he was doomed from the start with the acoustics.

Also David Allen Coe in concert is usually a train wreck. 1 out of 3 shows I've seen of his was almost enjoyable. The other 2 he got really mad and walked off stage less than half way thru the show...

Although I didn't buy tickets to specifically see them, Mastodon on the 2013 Mayhem Fest circuit was pretty hard to watch.
Most prog rock/metal bands don't fair well in festival settings and I can now attest to that.
They have grown on me a little since that performance, but I can never remember another heavy metal show putting me to sleep like those guys did.

Yeah, but Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik was their commercial breakthrough, and they might have played two or three songs from that record.
quote:The show was underwhelming, but I was with there with all late 20 somethings and older. Enjoyed the show but it could have gone on longer and been a tad better.
The audience was comprised of mostly teens and early 20-somethings so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.
That concert(RHCP) and the last two 311 shows are my candidates .

I just want to throat punch that guy.

Arctic Monkeys
Most underwhelming shows I've been to are Phish 3.0.
More recently, Alt-j.

Galactic in the Maggie Koerner/David Shaw era.

I dunno
White Denim opened for them, and Burt and Heady blow them all over this board so I figured between those two circumstances, they must be pretty solid
Wrong
Wrong
I didnt realize they were a band for high school kids. They are like an even shittier version of the Black Keys.

Yep...seen him twice, first time was at Hal and Mal's in Jackson in the small club section. It was packed and he put on a good show, even threating to come off the stage and kick a guys arse if he leaned on the stage again.
Second time I saw him was in 2007 I think at the Willie 4th of July show here in Houston. He came out with some lady, I'm guessing his wife, and he sang maybe two regular songs then started singhing his rap crap...it was awful

Favourite Worst Nightmare was a great album IMHO. Saw them in 2008 and they basically just played that album and it was a fricking great show. The rest of their stuff, with a couple of exceptions, is a big MEHfest for me. I probably wouldn't pay to see them now.

That's another thing I didn't like.
I've watched the Eagles and Paul McCartney perform for 3 hours, but that concert seemed over in the blink of an eye.

Ya, White Denim is the absolute heat. Show was crazy good. Tall dude with the tight pants fricking shreds.

Oh, I thought you were saying White Denim was like a shitty version of Black Keys. I rescind my " "

Yonder Mountain - New Orleans
Widespread Panic - Biloxi
Tool - Dallas
Queens of the Stone Age - Atlanta
The QOTSA concert really took me off guard. They seemed really apathetic and disinterested that night.
