Without surgery. Has anyone tried something that works that I can pick up at a local store?

Are you willing to consider learning to sleep on your side? They have Tempurpedic side=sleeper pillows that take about a week to get used to, but once you do you'll be really happy and probably not snore or revert to rolling on your back.

Try an anti-snore chin strap. Google for photos and to learn more.

I don't mind sleeping on my side, I might try that. I was wondering if the mouth pieces worked.
I go to the gym everyday. It's not a weight issue.

Just make your wife sleep in the other room and you can snore as much as you like.

I did a sleep study and now use a CPAP device.
Snoring and or sleep apnea isn't necessarily due to weight.

Store bought appliances can be hit & miss. The appliances a dentist can make fit WAY better and are adjustable for more/less tension and anterior postitioning of the lower jaw. None store-bought or custom appliances are really super duper comfy to wear. The custom ones naturally fit much better.
We make one called a Myerson EMA. Every patient that has one thanks me for recommending it. Their wives usually throw in a thanks when we see them.

I had my dentist size me for a mouth guard. When I share hotel rooms nobody complains about my snoring anymore. The trays will cost you about $250 but that's much cheaper than a CPAP.
Pops in like Invisalign or a tooth whitening tray that keeps you at a position that won't cause you to snore. I used Dr. Palmer in Shreveport for my fittings.

I use store bought mouth pieces and they work pretty well. Think I'm going to look into getting a custom one though.

Do a sleep study & get a CPAP. I did it a year ago and it is amazing really how much better you will feel. Just do it.
