i don't know if i'd necessarily consider blow and scarface drug movies. i would consider films like requiem, spun, fear and loathing "drug movies"

I mean, the movie is called BLOW!

Details the entire rise of drug culture/war on drugs.

But if you want a user movie, than yeah...Enter the Void.

Lots of good flicks mentioned (Drugstore Cowboy, Rush, RfaD)

However, Blow is insanely overrated by this board, and deserves no mention in this thread.

Heath ledger is in it. Plays a heroin addict. Great movie. Not a lot of people have hear f it. One of my fav.

trainspotting is definitely on the top of the list. the "dead baby" scene still haunts me....

how has 'less than zero' held up? i remember thinking it was pretty good, but that was years ago & i haven't watched it since.

'pink floyd: the wall' is another one, but i guess it doesn't count 'cuz the "drug related" criteria is more applicable to the viewer

I'm a big fan of this one too. They really do a good job of showing a not-so-urban version of the drug culture in the 70's. You feel for the users that the narcs take advantage of. The guys they go buy from scared the crap out of me. Great depictions of the seedy characters you would meet if you got that far into it. Some of those guys remind me of the cats in my older brother's circle. Most of those guys are dead now.
