So the fact that Obama isn't the only president to treat the Presidency like a monarchy excuses his actions?
Where have I said I agreed with the way Obama went about this?
I'm simply dispelling misinformation, not advocating for what he did. Just because it was legal doesn't mean I think he went about it the right way.

What's puzzling to me is your self assurance that you are always right in every matter. Constitutional Lawyers will be on either side of the fence dealing with this issue and tell you why, but you already know you are right and others just have it wrong. You've got lots of Chutzpah!

Not lost on me is the irony in that the most vitriolic, sanctimonious reactions to this executive order are the baby boomers, the biggest, most spoiled, piece of shite generation imaginable. Doubly ironic is that they should be happy about amnesty so that these illegals can come absorb some of the debt that you spoiled old farts racked up.

Let's just cry about it. He is legally within the constitution. Yes, he is overstepping the spirt of the powers granted under Article 2 of the Constitution but he is simply not selectively enforcing laws. The President can do this so get mad, real mad or start thinking how to flip this on his head.
It's an Obama shutdown, not a government
-Block every nominee put forward.
-Pass a maximum border enforcement law with the threat of impeachment if he doesn't enforce
-Throw together legislation encouraging minority hiring over illegal immigrants with harsh penalties for businesses that do
Start thinking about how not to come off as racist or attacking Obama personally because that's what he is banking onX

We've been over this before: It only seems that way from your perspective. You accuse quite a few posters of this, and it seems to me like the problem isn't an arrogant assumption of superiority by others but rather you participating in discussions which you lack the understanding to keep up.
For instance, me saying that Obama isn't creating new laws but merely altering the enforcement of existing ones is just a basic fact of this situation. Even those who get on TV and argue that what he is doing is illegal understand this, the root of their argument isnt that it is illegal because he is creating new laws. If one does not understand that, then it probably would come across as arrogance to claim it matter of factly. That doesn't change the reality of the situation however.
You try and debate people who understand the topics better than you, then accuse them of arrogance and condescension when they talk over your head. Claiming 27 divided by 3 equals 9 is a fact might seem arrogant to someone who doesn't know how to divide.

I'm neither old nor a baby boomer and will be working for many years to come.

I don't have to know what some talking heads have to say about the issue because I've already heard from Obama's own mouth that the action he took is illegal. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best.

So Obama is an incompetent idiot who regularly lies and propagates misinformation...except when his words support the argument you are trying to make.
That's pretty convenient

Who is saying he is an incompetent idiot? I think he is over his head, unscrupulous and unqualified to be president, but I suppose he has above average intelligence?
The bottom line is that whether his current actions are legal or illegal, he thought they were illegal up until very recently and that speaks volumes.

That would be awesome to see. MSNBC would be amazing.

Or maybe he always thought it was legal, but in the past he was making up bogus excuses for not doing it. With his last midterm behind him he decided to just go ahead with it.

It's a moot point anyway. If a Republican Presidential candidate campaigns on ending abortion in any fashion, that candidate will lose the election.

So, you think the EO was within Constitutional limits. Dr. Krauthammer says you are wrong. Do you know more about the subject than he?

No Hillary is for a women's right to choose.

Roger knows more about every subject than anyone. And if you don't believe me, just ask him, he'll tell you.

What's the worst that could happen? A constitutional crisis with the supremes tied 4 to 4 while Roberts recused himself while having a sex change op?
Posted on 11/22/14 at 8:58 pm to KeyserSoze999
A unilateral outlawing of abortion would not receive four votes in the SC.

What if a woman chooses to tell health insurance companies to get bent? Or she wants to choose an insurance plan that doesn't cover contraception?

They would have to revisit the constitution, which never made killing babies legal, they would simple overturn the erroneous ruling known as roe. The only wildcard is that bitch they call Roberts. Kennedy would rule on the side of the constitution.
