I guess Ford was smart when they axed the Ranger. Now they can sell a Ranger for 50k.

Nah, would want bigger cab than that. First child on the way. Need room for car seats and a growing family.

I am semi-intrigued by the new mid-size trucks GMC and Chevy are putting out, but I need to see them in person to see how the size compares. And if Toyota revamps the Tacoma, I'll check that out too.

I'm still probably about 6 months to a year away from making a purchase though.

I would've expected the chevy to come out ahead of ecoboost. I'm not much of a fan of the ecoboost though.

And I am a ford guy but I would drive the shite out of that dodge diesel.

That article is an interesting read. It's amazing that only a very small percentage of those surveyed actually use their truck as a truck on a regular basis, yet still drop a pile of money on one.

I fall under their statistics lol.

I never go off-road and don't tow much either. If I do tow, it's only a 22' center console boat. Though I only dropped $35k on my truck.

I don't use mine as a truck very often, but when I do, there's no substitute. Mine is weak and small and was only 20K though

Yes. And I have owned an F150. Good truck. But that crowd will defend that truck regardless of what happens.

I loved my F150 and love my F250. I think the 2.7 is stupid.

There goes your theory.

I don't get the ecoboost either, according to independent data and even Ford's own numbers it's not better on gas mileage to justify it.
