Truly horrible. I've heard it was one of the worst scenes EMTs have seen in their life. Prayers sent to all family & friends involved.

On their way to Disney World. That is horrible. That 16 year old is probably going to have some guilt issues.

Wow that is so sad prayers sent. But their really is no reason for them not to be wearing a seatbelt

Damn. Got to wear those seatbelts. I still have the one that was cut off of me when I was in a major accident.

I felt horrible, then I saw that none of the five ejected passengers were wearing seat belts, and all of them died. Now I only feel bad for the driver because she is going to blame herself because the passengers were not wearing seatbelts

I know the most of the ones that responded to the accident. Said it was one of the worst scenes that they had been called to. One a medic since the 80s and the other who has only been a medic for short time

So why would they let a 16 drive?

Why is it so hard for people to wear a seatbelt. If you don't do it at least make your children wear one.

horrible story,

quote:

Louisiana State Police responded at 10:46 p.m. to a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 20, west of Calhoun. Police say the family was traveling eastbound on Interstate 20 in a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe, near the Highway 80 exit, when it veered into the median. The driver, a 16-year-old, overcorrected and the vehicle rolled over.

sounds like she may have started falling asleep at the wheel and freaked out when she hit the warning track. not sure how i feel about letting the 16 year old drive the whole family at night though.

This is just plain stupid. 4, 7, and 15 year olds in the car with no seatbelts on?

With 8 people they were probably in a big church van and sleeping in the long bench seats. I have been guilty of that one plenty of occassions.

they were in a Chevy Tahoe
