Websites that make you click through images rather than just having them on page

This has to be the shitiest cheapest way to boost ad revenue.
First you have a interesting image to grab your attention. Then you click on it and you have to keep going through the images to see them all, rather than the site just putting them on one page. Obviously they do it to get extra page clicks, but then on top of that, they will have all kinds of fake ads with fake "next page" buttons. That shite should be forbidden, that is some messed up shite.
So then you go through like 32 clicks to see 10 pictures and don't even see the image that made you want to click on the link in the first place.
example
Usually a dozen or so threads are started a day that leas to sites like this. I don't remember seeing this layout until a year or two ago.
Very annoying, almost as bad as having fake news stories that look like part of the site you are on, but link you to some shady 3rd party site that looks like the sites mentioned in the OP.

Just about as bad is CNN, which wants you to sit through a 30 second ad so you can watch a 60 second story.

generates exponentially more ad revenue, but yea, it's a fricking douchey way of doing it.
I fricking hate click bait like buzzfeed and the people who post them here. post the fricking direct youtube or imgur links, not some content aggregator who just steals shite so they can generate ad money.

I usually get to the Youtube video, and then always try to post them 3-4 seconds into the video to skip the commercial as well.

I saw a thread talking about those on the Help board and it was whacked.
I would much rather have the old topics of interest. the stuff at the bottom gets me, because it will have an image of something interesting then I click on it and it's nothing to do with the image.
