I've got a job coming up in Lonsdale. Probably going to rent a house around Adelaide since its the big city nearest the jobsite. Anyone with experience of SA?

Only been to Perth. Sister in law and family live there for work. Perth is amazing, but expensive as hell!! So I'm sure that where you are going will be too.
For instance it is usually around $50-60 for a case of beer. I saw a 24 pack of diet coke for $30.

Wish I could help, only lived in Brisbane. Heard from some people who went to Adelaide that it was great. Head on up to Uluru when you get a chance, if you do one of the camping trips you'll have an awesome time and hopefully see the southern cross at night.
