If Gordon hadn't been hurt we would have gotten blown out. And later we squeak by a team who has now fired their coach. The only thing I don't understand about this year is how we kept it close with Alabama. This was never supposed to be a big year. I think too many of us (me included), confused our excitement for our recruiting class with how this year's team would preform. Here's to all of these kids, and the whole team, putting it all together for next year.

That's a fail. The defense is gotten much better since the Wisconsin game. We've also gotten better offense of line play and run the ball tons better than we did in that opener. Nice try though

crowd kept it close for ole miss and bama, defense plays great we look better, offense can stink it up and get 1 score and have us in games.

I actually thought we may have found an offense when we went 3 wide at the end of the game. We were moving the ball and scored the go ahead TD. Unfortunately, we have gone back to the power football that we all love

If you remember correctly, we expected a shite season after MSU, and really thought we were in for it after Auburn. Then Florida, Kentucky, and Ole Miss gave us a glimmer of hope.

We're back down to Earth. The finish at Bama and the Arkansas game were inexcusable in my opinion.

Same way Ole Miss and Arky have kept it close with us while accomplishing jack shite on their own--Super Bowl mentality.

frick off idiot. The same Gordon who didn't do shite against some d2 like school? How about good D can still shut down a 1 man offense. Don't be an idiot.

LSU can shut down a one dimensional offense and they did.. Even early in the season.

Why don't you settle down. It's too early for all that language.

Pretty much agree. First of all, the LSU run defense against UW was shifted around by Chief in the second half. Gordon, by his on admission was only nicked, which is why he carried the ball on their last two drives, getting stuffed for a miniscule gain and a loss. Every part of the team improved during the season, outside of the passing game. Injuries played a huge part of the offensive struggles against Ark. but that's part of the game that everyone has to fight.

So many of our fans are delusional. The OP is exactly right. We have been an average team all year. Our defense got better as the season went in, but overall we are average on special teams and below average on offense.

We win one game and we are invincible. We lose one game and we will never win another game.

I called it and got screamed and yelled at and called nasty names by the Les lovers. It didn't do any good anyway.

ETA, the defense HAS gotten better. The real reason we won though was not because Gordon was 'nicked' it was because they lost their 2 starting defensive linemen and our RB's ran all over the freshman backups.

The wisky coach was a moron. I would have had Gordon out there till his legs fell off. We should have dropped that one, in addition to the Florida game.

AJ threw the ball better in that game more than any other.

We've improved in every aspect since that game, except the passing game. Oline, RB's, DL, LB, Secondary... Just the one area that never seems to be improved on.

Hard to put anything together when les and cam are in charge. The Wisconsin game showed that our offense did moderately well when in spread formations. The issue has been since that game the only time we tried the spread was last 5 mins vs. State

We should have known after the bowl game. It became apparent that the Ark finish was a fluke. Very mediocre performances in the Spring Game, and an almost complete media blackout at fall practice, should have been a forewarning that there was a dead rat in the woodpile.
