Shahid Khan, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, originally wanted to purchase the STL Rams and keep them in STL but Kroenke won out in the end.

The Rams move to LA could actually be a blessing because that would setup Khan to move the Jaguars to STL, a town that he loves and respects.

Khan is from Urbana, Illinois and identifies with STL more than he identifies with Chicago. STL is his dream destination for an NFL franchise.

Jacksonville is arguably a better NFL market than St. Louis and has a much better stadium. Kahn won't do that - London would be a much smarter move financially if the league would allow it.

If St. Louis is going to lose their own team because they won't build a stadium than how are they going to embrace the worst franchise in NFL history (Jaguars) and not build a stadium?

League won't allow it - horrible precedent to reward a middling market like St. Louis for refusing to play ball.

exactly, Kilo. these people don't know what they're talking about.

Khan would jump at the chance to have his NFL team in STL. That's very well known.

no one has said that STL won't help build the stadium. They may gift the land, which would be an incentive

You have no idea whats going on.

You mean like Baltimore and Cleveland precedent?

Regardless, the Rams are not leaving St Louis so its all moot at this point.

So why aren't they negotiating to save the Rams? Nobody in St. Louis cares - it's a baseball town.

The St. Louis market generates notoriously poor NFL ratings, and they are 29th in the league in merchandise sales. It's a baseball town through and through.
