re: Rams will likely move to LA. Jaquars will likely move to St. Louis. Win / Win

I agree that the Rams seem strange in STL. I wouldn't be against them leaving. They aren't a Missouri team.
But neither are the KC Chiefs, yet most believe that the Chiefs are a Missouri team.
It take a longer commitment than a couple of decades to establish a rabid fanbase. It takes time.
Therefore, if the Rams leave I'd openly welcome a team like the Jaguars to STL. If Jaguar ownership would truly commit to STL, STL sports fans would respond in time with their commitment to the team.

I don't have a dog in this fight but
Bruh us Texans fans flat took over J world earlier in the year to the point Romo called it an away game

The Rams had a five season run as arguably the best team in the league and one of the best offenses ever. They went to two SBs and won one.
If they haven't caught on yet, they are never going to. They'll likely never have another run like 1999-2003 again.

Yep. Folks that like to say things about STL being a "shitty" football town are not looking at the big picture or are intentionally avoiding the circumstances to fit their personal biases.
I want the Rams to stay. I am a Rams fans. There needs to be the knowledge of a long term commitment form both the Rams and the fans before things will heal. There has been a lot of goodwill destroyed after the performance on the field and the leverage moves to force a new stadium is St Louis.

Other fanbases always do that because Jerry prices out the locals. It's been a problem since the latter years at Texas Stadium, ever since he started trying to finance his new digs.
When Dallas plays on the road, especially in California and the south, the Stadium is half Cowboys fans. Pittsburgh, GB and Dallas are the best selling fanbases year in and year out.

Also I would sell a kidney for a Houston pro football team of any name or ownership to be as good as the Greatest Show on Turf was

Those teams were fun as shite to watch. Marshall Faulk was one of the most dominant offensive players ever for about a three year period, too bad he's a MASSIVE douchebag now
Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce were also one of the top 5 WR combos in history.

was incredibly exciting and special time in STL. but greatest show on turf is long gone and won't be back.
The closest the NFL has come since the early 2000s to replicating the greatest show on turf was last year's Seattle team.

You had Marshall faulk to go along with a receiving corps of Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce. Just stupid good

in what respect? Those teams are nothing alike

Yeah I don't get that either. Plus there are plenty of wide open offenses in the NFL now, though none nearly as talented at the skill spots as that team

It would be interesting to see what kind of numbers those teams would put up in today's offense friendly NFL.

The Broncos are pretty close. They don't have a RB anywhere near the caliber of Faulk, but Manning, Thomas x2, Decker/Sanders and Welker is pretty damn stout.
The Patriots circa 2007 were also very, very good at the skill spots.

Those two are the closest I can I think of but Faulk is what puts them ahead of those two. They would rewrite the books with all the new rules in place IMO

The 2010-2011 packers were good too. Rodgers passing to Jennings, Nelson, Cobb, Finley, Driver and James Jones....but like the others they lacked any sort of run game, let alone one on the level of Faulk and the Rams
