My drunken weekend

Saturday started off with me making 50 mint juleps at work for group pub crawling their way to Bourbon and St Ann.Being I only charged them $8 they got the finest Early Times bourbon, and a few lucky ones got Jim Beam since I ran out of ET
Before
After
When I got off work headed to The Rose for a few pints of Guinness and chat with Jeff (awesome bartender FYI). Craving some dinner I hit up Last Call across the street. Burger turned out better than expected but nothing of Cowbell quality.
Very juicy and good bun to meat ratio with fries $12
Sunday we hit up Boondock Saint before heading to the Dome
On the way we enjoyed Bacardi and diet
After that disaster we met friends at Superior Seafood. Shockingly they serve a dam good burger. I've never been a fan of their food. Normally just stick with happy hour beer and oysters. Their fries are some of the best in town IMO.
After the gf passed out, I hit up Happys for a few pints. Craving something sweet, I walked to Le Pavillon Hotel for their nightly PBnJ spread.
Win or lose, still a great weekend.

Couldn't pay me to step foot in there. I always walk on the other side of the street.

Is this going to be the new trend on the food board ? We eat, drink, and party a lot in New Orleans it's nothing new.

It's the guest amenity they're most known for. I guess you could try to sneak and pretend to be a guest, but that seems a bit dramatic for a peanut butter sandwich

I have no shame. Might sneak in after the MNF game next week.

I've always found it sketchy but really wasn't bad inside

I can't get passed the thugs, prostitutes and pimps that loiter around there.
I'll let you enjoy it.

That one guy is wearing a hideous Brees Jersey
You had a burger for lunch and dinner?
What is this PBnJ thing?

A sandwich with peanut butter and jelly spread across the bread

They provide the PBJ spread every night at about 10 pm. Intended for guest. It's a tradition thing. Years ago a business traveler was at the bar late night and was talking with the bartender at the hotel. He was homesick telling the bartender how he and his daughter would share a PBJ and a glass of milk at bedtime. The bartender surprised him with the PBJ and other patrons caught on and that is how it came to pass. Many hotel guests will come down in their pajamas and eat.
All of the peanut butter and jellies are made in house. Not too shabby
