Assassins? The League? Is that why they meant?

I doubt it. I bet it is just some assassins/hitmen sent by Falcone or whichever person/group whose behind the Wayne murders.

I liked the interaction between Bruce and Selina in this episode. I thought they actually were able to pull off the attraction/fascination that Bruce and Selina have for each other in the comics.

And I liked Harvey also, especially when he was interrogating that one guy.

I'm fine with a little older Harvey. It's no different than when Tommy Lee Jones was Two-Face and Val Kilmer was Batman.

Another solid episode. Loved the shadowing on Harvey to make him look like Two-face.

I've always seen Selina as one of Batman's real loves, so them developing a relationship in their youth is perfectly fine with me.

The guy playing Alfred is quickly becoming the GOAT of Alfreds.

Don't Gordon and Essen have an affair in the comics?

Not only did he have an affair with her, but he ends up marrying her eventually (long after he divorced Barbara).

It was the last scene. Jim tries calling her again and he gets her voicemail. He is leaving her a message telling her how much he misses her and loves her. While he is leaving the message the camera shows Barbara laying in bed on her side kind of staring at the camera. Right after he says I love you, you see Montoya rise up from behind Barbara, and moves over her and they start making out.

I am all for lesbians, but...I don't like it in my Batman universe.

A little Hollywood 'forced' shite feel to me.
Maybe I'm alone in this.

Essen

Was Montoya, not Essen. In this universe Essen is the police chief.

Crap, yeah I get their name and character associations mixed up with Essen being police chief already in this universe. I went back and edited it.

Wow I think that Harvey Dent clown might have completely ruined the show for me. Dammit I hope he doesn't become a major character. That kid was the most atrociously annoying character since Lori in TWD.

Isn't Dent supposed to have mutliple personality disorder? Forced, maybe. Not show ruining in the slightest tough

At times he was written having basically multiple personality disorder. I definitely didn't think he ruined anything. Dent was a head case before he got acid thrown in his face, that just happened to bring it out in him. He got his whole coin flipping thing because his dad used to flip a coin every night and then beat him.

The overacting that was prevelant during the pilot returned last night in the form of Harvey Dent. Guy was a little over the top for my taste, and I'm really not liking Bruce and Selina being this close. It really will mess up the later dynamic and makes it entirely too easy for her to figure out his identity. That being said, they could be changing up that dynamic as well, and I am enjoying the show.
