Those dudes know how to strike. Look all these crazy contracts floating around. If only the other leagues had players who could float themselves financially during a strike.

A sport with no cap makes it pretty easy to get away with contracts like that.

It's because they won a collusion case. Once they won that, they had ultimate power, they could rub shite in the owners face and tell them it was flour, and the Owners would have to accept it was flour. They got and asked for everything, and won it, because of the power they had.

Had they not won that case, your looking at a strong union, but no where near the power they once dealt.

Football union has to be the worse of them all. Most violent sport with non-guaranteed contracts, salary cap with the owners making billions.

I don't think it's so bad. Small market teams can very easily compete.
