Destrehan Teacher No Show for Court

One of the two Destrehan High School teachers accused of having sex with a student was a no-show for a status hearing in Jefferson Parish Court.
Rachel Respess was scheduled for a status hearing today… She did not attend the hearing, but her attorney Jeffrey Smith did appear on her behalf.
The hearing was procedural… Smith telling the Judge that his client has not yet been officially charged, only arrested.

Sounds like a deal is in the works to make her a witness for the prosecution for the exchange of immunity.
