The Top 2 reasons Miles will not start Harris

1. He "doesnt put in the work" Jennings does, he doesnt like his "attitude"
2. He would HATE, and I mean HATE to look completely wrong once again just like the DJ Welter/Kendell Beckwith scenario...he cant take the lashback from the fanbase if Harris actually does well, he "gave him his shot" vs. Auburn and wanted to prove his point and let this be Jennings' team for the rest of time

i do think this is a very likely issue and one that has to drive a coach like miles mad
he's not the only coach who had to struggle with this issue. you basically hurt your team on the field to try and help it in the lockeroom. funny enough, but guys like barry switzer never had to worry about this shite

Still playing for a good bowl for the seniors...jennings best bet to win. Harris is improving surely sees him playing a few snaps in the immediate future.

I think it's funny that you think he was wrong about Welter/Beckwith. Miles' opinion was that Welter was a weak spot, and they had to get Beckwith ready ASAP. How was that wrong?
Are you saying that Beckwith was ready sooner? If so, you'll have to produce evidence. And Beckwith playing well AFTER Miles decided he was ready is not evidence that Beckwith was ready sooner.

I'm with Hanagriff once again on this.
The QB doesn't matter as much as the scheme does.
Harris will look equally as bad with our one receiver routes on obvious passing downs, throwing short passes to receivers with no ability to separate or hold onto the ball, and dealing with numbers problems in the box.
Harris running the offense we have seen post-Mett will get snapped like a twig, even with A&M's all female defense.

It's obvious that given the choice between talented player who is inexperienced and mistake prone or mediocre talent who is less mistake prone, Les prefers the latter.
Now, I happen to FULLY understand that thinking. BUT, it really has to be a balanced scale. IE, no one would start ShortyRob at WR over Odell Beckham just cause ShortyRob knew the plays better even if you had to tell ODB every damned play in the huddle.
Now, THAT is obviously the extreme. But, the point is that Miles does seem to swing a bit too hard in the direction of fear of mistakes.
It's like coaches who "keep everything in front of them" on defense only to give up six 80 yard drives a game. I mean, there's no real benefit to avoiding the big play if even while trying to avoid it, you still keep giving up 6 points. So, bend but don't break works BUT, bend bend bend TD is stupid.
Well...........Miles seems this way when it comes to his mistakes philosophy.

Miles and Cameron believe that Harris is less prepared to QB the team than Jennings. This is troubling on two accounts:
1. If true, then it's entirely possible #6 will not be prepared next season or ever for that matter--a bust if you will.
2. If false, this is a big indictment against both coaches, whose first and foremost business is evaluating and developing talent.
We need to look for a JUCO QB with skill, training and experience--at the very least as an insurance measure for 2015.
