my friend said her mom waited in line for 2 hours the other day. and when i drove by saturday there was a line wrapped around the building. blizzards are good but not that much different than a mcflurry or sonic blast. is it a white trash thing? trying to get chicken strips with the white gravy?

Everyone's wanted a Dairy Queen for years, and it just opened. Same thing kinda happened with Buffalo Wild Wings.

Back in the early 80's, DQ had a solid burger, and and some good old fashioned ice cream treats. I tried the BR location recently. The burgers are worse than one made with the frozen patties from Walmart. And they didn't have most of the ice cream items they used to. I don't see the attraction at all. In fact, I'd probably choose McD's over DQ now.

Lake Charles doesn't have a Pluckers.

For wings it's pretty much just BWW and the Wing Stop next to Five Guys, but that's on Ryan St. past 210. Most folks in LC with money are a stone's throw from DQ on Nelson.

Your friend's mom is lying. I love how people lie about how long they wait at restaurants.

It's kind of the sign that Lake Charles..."South" Lake Charles is starting to pick up and become a bigger city. I know basing this on fast food chains seems asinine, but you've got to consider the perspective. Panera Bread is another one.

Yeah, this happens with most new places.
Yes, it is white trashy, because, well, it's Lake Charles.

I only waited 20 minutes.

True. It's becoming like Lafayette. There are a lot of chains there as well.

Pretty good thing for lake Charles though. So many jobs there.

Steroids, obsession with MMA, chains... They are almost the same city lol

Idk what calla is.. I do know a lot of restaurants that are good and not a chain close down but the shitty chains will live for a long time.
